missed on the over in 2nd Q but had celts for half.
The under looks good, but I think Detroit might be
done...Maybe look at celts in 2nd half..and then party movinunits...

Well I lost the Detroit 1st quarter bet cuz I'm an asshole and I went against THE BEST TEAM IN THE NBA.

Split it with the UNDER 88 1st half.

Newbie here, but great call so far!  Damn! For the "easiest cap of the year" I guess I won't be winning all the money I wanted to win if I followed! All losses so far. Well hopefully the game will come through for us!

Stuart just said the winner of game 3 goes on to win a series 76% of the time.  This is not the night for the Celtics to get their first road playoff win.

 

i posted elsewhere that this was the Game of the Year in the Eastern Conference, and that from a handicapping standpoint, this is a game that separates the men from the boys... if you don't even know which team is better, how are you going to handicap against the spread???

probably should have said... if you don't even know which team is going to win the series (i believe that was key #2 from my earlier post)...
 
game 3 winner goes on to win 76% of the time...
in series tied 1-1 after 2 games, game 3 winner goes on to win 80%+...
 
what is the key to taking advantage of these stats BEFORE game 3 starts, from a handicapping perspective?  answer: knowing which team is going to win the series...
 
like i said... this was easy...

I could also post a crazy array of stats but i won't bother, for those who have done their home work you would know DETROIT have the ATS Advantage over Boston. In addition Pistons have too many Players to guard that is an offensive threat, so Boston may be a great defensive team but guarding all these players are a tough task:

"What makes Detroit good is you can't really hone in on one guy,'' Rivers said. "Obviously in the two previous series we've had LeBron (James) and Joe Johnson. Even though they had players around them, clearly they were the focal point.

"(The Pistons) have five for sure, and six guys on certain nights they can go to.'' - nba.com


Further more Detroit are back home where they will step up in every catogory even more and with home crowd on their side equates to a lethal mixture. 

The only concern i have is that Boston has never gone on the rd into game 3 after a home loss with their backs against the wall this post season.  Ray Allen also has found some touch back.  Best believe also The Celtics will throw the kitchen sink and plumbing attached @ Detroit and this is obviously the only factor that i fear. But i feel Detroit, an extensive playoff battle-tested, experienced team, will just prove too much for the C's.

3ball... i can tell you this much, you weren't supposed to bet against Boston with their backs against the wall... this was the first time it happened on the road, and 3rd time overall... first two results were a game 7 blowout against Atlanta and an impressive game 7 win against Cleveland...
 
as a general rule... figure out who the better team is in an NBA playoff series, and jump on them when their back is against the wall...
