A major part of me wants to stay away from this game completely, as this is the first time we have seen the Celtics play a game after losing at home. Unfortunately...I am a degenerate and I love money. So here is what I got for tonight.
Celtics are 13-9 ATS after a loss this season and 16-6 SU.
The Pistons are 34-32 ATS after a win with a 47-20 SU record.
After scoring 100+ points...the Pistons are only 18-19 ATS
This is the first time this season the C's have been an underdog of more than 4 points. They were 2-0 as an underdog of 4 points.
Celtics are 4-0 in the last 4 games in Detroit
The road team has won 8 of the last 10 games ATS...only 3 of 5 this year.
After scoring 100+ points, the UNDER is 8-1 in the last 9 games for the Pistons
After allowing 100+ points, the UNDER is 8-2 in the last 10 games for the Celtics.
The only game in Detroit this season, the Celtics fell behind by 10 points after the 1st quarter and came back big in the 2nd and 4th quarters.
In that game...Pierce, Allen, and Garnett shot 12 for 35 from the field and the Celtics had twice as many turnovers as Detroit.
Detroit struggled shooting, mainly Prince who shot only 3-12 and Hamilton who shot 6-16.
I look for this game to be a lot like the first meeting in Detroit this year. The Pistons will come out like crazy behind the home crowd and try to put away the C's early. The big thing for the Celtics is to continue their great defense. They made a lot of mental mistakes in Game 2, and the Pistons took advantage of that. The Celtics are just way too good of a team to make those mistakes twice in a row. I would assume the Pistons win this game at home, while the Celtics should take Game 4. The Celtics played horrible defense after the 1st quarter in Game 2, and still had a pretty good shot at the end of the game.
Actually...fuck that...the C's win this game, and the next game, and the next game!! Deeeetrroooiiiitttttt basketbaaaaaalllllll sucks.
