Over 11.5
 
How can you take the under when the line is this high???  The books plan this game to be high scoring, as do I. 
 
-Jackson has given up no less than 7 hits in his last 5 starts. 
 
-The score has gone over 11 runs in 4 out of the last 6 meetings, with Jackson pitching one of those games. 
 
-This is Bass' first start so he will probably go no more than 6 innings leaving possibly the entire second half of the game to the bullpen. 
 
But the most impressive reason to take the over is the line itself.   Look at the opposite scenario, just like when Peavy pitches against Webb or Beckett pitches against lackey and the line is at 7, there is still a good chance that it will go under the total.
 
Bottom line...with these two pitchers, one could very well pitch a quality start, but the other could still blow it open and the over still hits.

I may be completely wrong... but I have to do the Under.. 11.5... seems a bit much.. even for two crappy pitchers..

No shit over 8.5 for you.  I'd put my life savings on the over 8.5 if that were the case.  Sadly, the line is probably right on at 11 and us on the over need an extra run somewhere.
