Sour grapes was said not because Paul wont win the election, rather that you got so pissed off that you felt necessary to cuss me out.
Life is hard also references that..you disagree with someone, you explode. It is my way of saying you dont deal with adversity very well.
I am not going to ban you for the comments, but I dont see the rational in bashing someone you disagree with and that is why I have to put you in the box.
Next time someone crosses you, try showing restraint.

It's interesting that WallstreetCapper is the only one who really opposed Ron Paul in this thread, yet in my Presidential Election poll, McCain and Obama got all but 7 votes out of about 70.

i like ron paul, he has great ideas to change our economy, but these changes are so radical, a lot of conservative rep think he's crazy. he won't get the rep nomination when half the rep won't support him. if he ran for a third party then the outcome would be different, but it's still a longshot. dumb as it may sound, people in this country consider themselves either rep or dem and they will vote for whoever as long as they're affiliated with that party. and trust me, come election time.. this race will be a lot closer than what the polls say, it will basically be a toss up. people say they don't like mccain blah blah blah.. but they will still vote for him, just like how they voted bush for his 2nd term. i'm not voting this year, because i live in hawaii and it's pointless. we need to rid the electorial votes and have a presidential nomination based solely on the popular vote, then i will vote, because then my vote will have some significance.
the reason why we have troops around the world isn't just for policing. it's for control of power and wealth. there's a side to the government that we don't know about. we take down whoever opposes us, saddam opposed us look at where he is now. although the media portrays it as the other way around, we're terrorists just like any other. we bombed and killed thousands of innocent civilizians in the middle east, but we don't show that. why would we? because it is fucked up... we're fucked up. 9/11 gave us an xxxxxx pass to do whatever we want, we can even nuke the middle east if we really wanted to and it would be justified. i don't buy it, but everyone else does.

nice post mairt3. i agree with your statements on the electoral college and i am also in favor of a complete popular vote. you should check out some info on "economic hitmen" because it goes along with your talk of america spreading its power and wealth. we are on a conquest by debt instead of military. though military is needed sometimes.

I did like Ron Paul a lot. I completely agree about his viewpoints about the role of government. Our founding fathers would not like what is going on right now, that is for sure.
What turned me off from Paul was when I did some research on him. He ran for President before in the Libertarian party some years ago. He made an appearance on the Morton Downy Jr show (the equivalent of Jerry Springer of the 80s) and came across horrible. For any of you who support Ron Paul, look it up on youtube, watch it, and tell me what you think.

I'm about two minutes in and the first attack on Ron Paul's view of letting people do what they want is "Well then I guess I can kill my kid if I want to then if we are all allowed to do what we want." This has already gotten laughable, but I'll continue watching.

This Morton Downey Jr guy has already resorted to shouting and attacking one of the guys for the clothes he is wearing. Then Ron Paul said he needs to stick to the issues and Morton said "If you were in the White House I would puke on you." I don't think that's about the issues at all. From the start of the program, this interview has been about attacking the Libertarian position with no factual basis.
