What McCain needs to focus on the economy with his answers that clearly state his plan for recovery,(if in fact he has one) not avoid it.
Directing all topic's back to his plan on the economy and highlight Obama's plan as a disaster ..e.i. raising taxes in a recession ( never proven to be cure) and his promise to spend 1 trillion on new entitlements, and the cost of Obama's expanded Government.
If he doesn't do this ,then it's just a matter of day's ......
Consensus have it that only about 20% of the registered voters have not made up their minds yet ..McCain will need to attract about 14/15% of them ..where Obama only needs to split 10%.

As Ferguson said last night, everybody knows somebody who has associated or committed a crime. That's not a big deal.
true...but most of us have walked away from that person if the crime warranted...something like declaring war on your country, bombing the pentagon...those type of treasonous things one should walk away from

ive followed this stuff close enough for 15+ years and ive never seen half the country so foolish to not look under the hood of a car they are buying and locked into for 4 years

I am not defending McCain in the least bit but your second question is misleading and implies an untruth. Taxes is a fear issue that the Republicans play well and the Democrats play ignorantly.
As to Ayres, although he should provide trepidation to any individual because of his past and association with Barry, he should only reflect upon Barry's judgment of people. Barry was very young when Ayres committed and attempt to further commit the autrocities in the 1960s. Barry did not support Ayres actions. Also, having friends with flaws does not make you unfit to be President, just makes you a human being. I believe Ayres to be a fear factor and a diversion from the real issues in this election.
