and the elite liberal media is absolutely stunned....
 
McCain will not only take all of the "swing states"  FL, OH, PA, etc....  Michigan, and New Jersey as well. 
 
Now for the shocker... California is in play.  YES  Cali will be a close vote count.
 
This all adds up to landslide, and many many silly stupid liberal elitists will be absolutely stunned.
 
OK I turn this thread over for all of you to laugh and crack jokes and call names.... but I will give it a bump come Nov 5th.

I live in cali it is in play in the same sense that the  Bengals are in the playoff race

They elected a GOP governor... even though he is not acting like one.  Stranger things have happened and I think the Cali vote count will be very close.

although i do think it is closer than people think

cali is 15 points right now for obama. cali is 20% of the popular vote which means that 3% of obama's national poll lead comes from california

electoral is quite different than the popular vote

Not 1 state that went for John Kerry will go for McCain. McCain has to defend about 9 states from turning blue. Give McCain Ohio, Florida, and Penn. Then give him North Carolina. We still get Obama 270 McCain 268.

Best of luck boys. My only dilemma is that since the Republicans have been in power, America's status in the world both economically and militarily, has been diminished.  Hard to believe we've fallen so far in such a short period of time.  Suppose I'm going to have to brush up on my Mandarin and start building my bankroll in the almighty Yuan.

McCain carrying Michigan is laughable.  One, Michigan hasn't voted red in years and with all the Unions supporting Obama, I just won't happen.  Add to the fact that McCain has stopped visiting/campaigning in Michigan, I don't see a way he will win this state.  Not familiar enough to comment on the other states you think he will win, but Michigan is not in play.

We are in agreement - Michigan is NOT in play.  Obama will have to make it up elsewhere - if that is possible.

Can you, without googling, tell me all of the Repub Presidents that CA has voted for in the last 50 years and then tell me what they had in common?

interesting discussion at the sports book bar last night with two local Air Force retirees that are Republicans. BOTH had voted for Obama-Biden because 1) the prospect of "Caribou Barbie" being a heartbeat away from the Presidency scared the HELL out of them 2) their local AF retirees assoc had researched McCain vs Obama votes on Veterans issues and were SHOCKED at the lack of support of Vets by a retired career officer and war hero vs a guy who has never served in the military. the comment was "WHAT the HELL is WRONG with this guy"? 3) the Colin Powell indorsement was the kicker. they figured if the General couldn't support McCain, which mainly goes back to the Palin issue, they couldn't either.
 
when you have retired military officers voting against McCain, they definately have a problem. I think you are going to see quite a number of moderate Republicans rebel this year esp over the "Palin question"

You post it, and someone ALWAYS does this, and 1 time out of 100 you get to come back and look like a genius, and the other 99 times you look fine because nobody expected it to happen and you can blow it off.

And BTW - your other prediction of a few days ago about the line going down so you can sell your McCain bet (you mentioned +350) aint happening and you are running out of time.  Its holding steady at about -780.

I bought at +780 and can now sell at -765. Not going too, as cheering for a McCain upset is more fun than guaranteed funds.

Obama only thinks he has the union vote, but he doesn't have it like Kerry and Gore had it. The fact is they think they have all kinds of votes, but the turnout for him isn't going to be like they expect. They have good early turnout, but the turnout for mcCain will be just incredible.
