I think it goes beyond that...  Obama whiners need to say he is the worst president because many people felt that bush was at the end of his reign...  So when anyone else says it, it is like music to their ears...

some times I wonder if you have it backwards... it is the partisan rhetoric that is the religion they believe in and blindly follow... christianity takes a back seat to what they really worship...

i guess it depends on what we mean by christianity.  as i've mentioned many times before, i interact with "good christians" on a weekly basis as my job takes me over to the jail often to talk to the worst criminals, most of whom want to take time to tell me about their god and how good of a christian they are rather than talk about reality.  however, if you define a good christian by the teachings of jesus, as i understand them, then you are right, the good vocal christian is an endangered species and jesus wouldn't recognize the current group. 

that leaves us with rightwing partisan lemmings on that side who use religion as a manipulating tool, which is why the concept was created in the first place. 

So by your logic nothing is "chargeable" to Obama that he didn't sign off on? You do realize that makes no sense right. The current President always has to account for what the former President has passed into law. By your logic Bush supporter's could say former President's left him with $1.788 trillion in mandatory spending that should be added to his spending.

I get it. It's easy to blame the last guy and believe Obama is a fiscally conservative spender when you fudge numbers. I know you'd like to believe Obama will save us and Bush was a horrible President. I really wish I could see it but I'm just looking and the numbers. And the way I judge a good President would be one who doesn't add to the national debt. So IMO we haven't a good President for a long time.

IMO every President who added a dime to the national debt was not a fiscally conservative spender. These are the numbers and not my opinion. National Debt by President :

Carter: 1997 - 700 billion. 1980 - 930 billion

Reagan: 1981 - 1 trillion. 1988 - 2.6 trillion

Bush: 1989 - 2.9 trillion. 1992 - 4.1 trillion

Clinton: 1993 - 4.5 trillion. 2000 - 5.6 trillion

Bush: 2001 - 5.9 trillion. 2008 - 10.7 trillion

Obama: 2009 - 12.3 trillion. 2011 - 15.1 trillion

So Bush is responsible for adding about 5 trillion dollars to the national debt. Obama is responsible for adding about 3 trillion to the national debt. How can anyone say either is a fiscally conservative spender?

The entire thread was posted on fuzzy math bullshit. The rate of change? Who in the fuck measures their spending by the rate of change. Put the dollar amounts up, and you see the real picture. Better yet, use your brain and put the data sets into context. Like, Obama has presided over 3+ years of Great Depression 2.0, with the economy contracting, why on Earth would you be comparing apples to apples gov spending growth rate without taking into consideration that the economy has been contracting (which hasn't happened for any length of time since the first GD). How many of them projected us to be where we are today, back in 1997? in 1987? 15 years out, 25 years shmout, their projections are loaded with so many fragile assumptions, it is worthless to acknowledge their waste of precious energy. Using us as datum and modeling the future with that crap, is sillier then watching your local weatherman do a 10 day forcast, and then planning your attire for the next ten days.
