Absolutely pitiful. 

I know guys that are getting kicked out of the Army when their units get moved/cut.  

How does it make sense to cut personnel (you know the personnel that accounts for the .45% of Americans that stood up to serve during this shitty wars). To save money for the G-D contractors.

fiscal conservatism = making sure big corporations make as much money as possible and if the little guy getting fucked by the sequester by gettin furloughed or losing his job or getting his pay cut, then so be it.

this is corporate welfare which works a little differently than the foxnews welfare. 

general dynamics makes this expensive tank the army doesn't want.  GD earned $570 million last quarter.  sure that's an increase from 2012 and sure the stock price is just a few cents off its 52 week high but those things might matter if we didn't live in a corporate welfare loving world where free markets don't really exist.

there was a thread earlier in the week where canosvp said that the only definition of "corporate welfare" was people saying that corporations did no pay enough taxes and if they raised the amount people would say they needed to pay more...

careful rick, you start talking real fiscal conservatism that might make GOP or the right look bad in one instance that they will start labeling you as a liberal leftist...

seems to be the pattern on this forum lately...

i saw some interesting info on the food stamps program (now called something else).  does anyone know which company "won" the government contract to administer about half of the states' food stamps programs since they went to debit cards and makes a shitload of money doing it?

JP Morgan has the largest contract among the states to "administer" the food stamps program.  they make a lot of money off the program.  i wouldn't call this corporate welfare since they offer a service for the money they make but when people talk about food stamps, they probably don't realize that somewhere some company is making a shitload of money off the program.  basically if our government is doing it, some big company is behind it and who knows what they did to get that sweet contract.

the documents i have don't discuss it but i did see an article that looked out what the state rates are and the number of people using these food stamp cards and the figures are very high, as you might expect.
