This seems to be a great choice, I have always liked her.
She takes some of the women vote, and some of the Black vote from the communist
I think she is a decent person and actually worked in the white house so she is more experienced then Palin, Trump, Cain or any of the other yahoos that the GOP/teaparty has tried to convince themselves would be a good idea...
I doubt if she will sway the woman vote at all... mainly because of the GOP/teaparty "war against women" campaign... it is hard for me to think that women would would back the party that is against women's rights/issues just because you put a woman there...
Did women vote for palin because she was a woman?
majority of the GOP woman voters would be married/white women anyways that would be far more comfortable voting for a white/male then an uppity/intelligent female minority... so the effect of rice on the woman vote would be none imo....
As for the black vote, I have a hard time thinking that african americans would back her just because she is black...
I hate to say this as it may start racist accusations... but the best strategy for the GOP/teaparty would have been to remain slient about obama... do not appear like you are attacking, persecuting him etc... make it appear like obama is doing an mediocre/okay job and that romney offers an alternative that is better...
but the whole worst president ever and petty/stupid attacks riles up the african american community making them want to side/rescue him like the african american community does when word of discrimination/racism appears...
The best bet would be to lull the african american community in to a lazy over confidence that obama has got this election so there is no need to run to protect him in the voting booth... If the perception is that there is no need to go vote because obama will win anyways I think you have a better chance getting the african american community no stay home then to try to put this effort into getting them to jump ship and actually vote against obama...
this might sound a tad racist, but we are talking about the GOP playing the race card... which they are just not that good at unless it is crying reverse racism/discrimination...

Conor is no dummy. Guy is one of the sharper pundits out there.
Problem for Condi is two-fold; while quite articulate and intelligent, she is synonymous with the foreign policy of a Presidency that has been continually attacked for said foreign policy.
And she does nothing to rally the hard core right wingers, a group that is ambivalent to Romney at best.
