First off thanks for ignoring sara's meltdown today... he gets pretty nuts when he is having one of his meltdowns and was completely obsessed...  I really hope that things get better for him as he tried to join us in some state of sanity and mental well being... he really looked like he was suffering...
 

as for the pick, I actually am okay either way (changing or leaving it)... It is your contest... I am just participating in it...  

I didnt study and scrutinize everyone else's picks in capping this game and totally missed that I had picked numbers that had already been selected (twice)... 

sorry for the hassle and the apparent psychotic breakdown that resulted from the events...

Lords had asked a question about the scoring which I was hoping that you could answer before kick off?

are we just picking side and the total is a tie breaker?

or is the variance of the side and total from the actual score weighted evenly?

thanks in advance...  this has been loads and loads of fun so far.... should be great time tomorrow...

Actually, that is a good question.  Here's how I will grade the picks.  You will lose two points for every point you miss the side and you will miss one point for every point you miss the total, I feel the side is more important than the over under.  For example:  I picked SF by 11 and 54.  Let's say San Fran wins by 3 and the point total is 48.  I missed the side by 8 (at two points each for a miss of 16) and I missed the point total by 6 for a total miss of 22. Whoever has the smallest overall miss is the winner, whoever has the lartest overall miss is the loser and has to say 5 nice things about somebody or something they disagree with politically.  I think all of us should congratulate the winner.

I actually wouldn't mind losing so long as the Republicans put out a quality batch of candidates this time around. 

I would really be kicking myself if they nominated some one like Santorum or Bachmann. 

And I am a man of my word, if I lose I will not use any excuse to not vote Republican.

Where are you at ktrain?  right now im hanging in northern calif near sacramento.   I had to be here amongst 49ers fans.  If you want your vote to count, move to Ohio.

I probably should have stayed with my initial numbers (same as your's)... but I did not base my pick on what others were doing trying to be sneaky and under-handed...  so I asked for 5 and 51... but then lords had taken that number... So I said screw it...

at that point I was ready to withdraw, especially with slim spazzing out flooding the thread with bashing me like a psychopath...

I probably should have just kept my pick the same as yours... great minds think alike
