Did you know that the Democrats agreed to extend Bush Tax cuts while the Republican refused to compromise on tax increases and Debt increase

How many times did Reagan and Bush increase the debt limit

what did the republican offer ?

Ah right. Obama and Dems went along with a 2 year extension after the "unpopular" conservative right handed them one of the all time electoral beatings in 2010.
So that is an example of Democrats compromising.

In 2001, Republican Sen. Orrin G. Hatch of Utah introduced the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act — better known as the DREAM Act — in the Senate. The legislation would’ve made it possible for the children of illegal immigrants to gain permanent residency if they stayed out of trouble and went to school or joined the military.

Oh, and by the way, McCain could drop his opposition to the approach being advocated by Sens Lee, Cruz, and Rubio and stop obstructing the process of appointing budget conferees...

When Democrats endorse ideas Republican pioneered, that doesn’t lead to bipartisanship. When they endorse ideas Republicans currently support, that doesn’t lead to bipartisanship. And when they act on their own, that’s too partisan. So what, exactly, are they supposed to do?

There isn't even a line between Republican and Democrats anymore, because so many Republicans are in favor of big govt. and champion liberal ideals.  

There is a massive group of about 75% of all politicians Democrat and Republican that work together to increase the size of government, to add more regulations and laws. To enable law enforcement to become a military enterprise and create bigger and more profitable jails to keep the Largest prison population per capita in the world!!!! 

Then there is a small percentage of 25% Republican and Liberal (mostly on the fringes, but mainstream nonetheless).  Bernie Sanders, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz etc.  
The best they can do is obstruct and block anything they can, in an attempt to hold the line until help arrives in 2014.  

Screw compromise.  

What are they going to compromise on,  a fair amount to increase my taxes,  how many of my guns they want to take away, How much to increase violations of the 4th amendment, how they can get away with an internet tax?  

No thanks,  
I have no confidence in our government. I want deadlock.

I think the party that filibustered Bush's judicial nominees should run on a platform of stopping "obstructionism" 

Really, that should go over swell.

Anyway, I wish Congress would shut down and go home until after Labor Day. America would be much better off...

14 - debating with you is way too easy. 

The 2012 electorate was 38% Democrats, 32% Republicans and 29% independents. Obama even lost independents but still won the election. That should tell you right away that Democrats > Republicans. Last time I checked 38 > 32, other posters can verify this though.

I agree with you that it is true that the GOP has more state governors & legislatures. Would you rather have that or the Presidency & US Senate?  I'll take the Presidency and US Senate anyday. 

The GOP lost the Presidency and lost it big. Governors & legislatures can only do so much. Just today Arizona's unconstitutional voter ID law was just ruled just that, unconstitutional and the majority opinion was written by Scalia. 

14 it must suck to be on the wrong side of every debate. Forgot to ask though. Since we are on a betting site how did your Romney wagers pan out?

14 - you are correct that I don't know if you did bet on Romney, I just assume as much being that this is a gambling website and you were fond of polls that showed Romney winning. 

So you outright dismiss the fact that the 2012 electorate was 38% Dems and 32% Repubs? I'd say that is as good of an indication of which party has more people.

Considering you're outright dismissing the fact that the Republicans won a majority of the Gov races in Nov 2012, I'd say there isn't a real interest in uncovering which party has more people.

What group wants enforcement of the Defense of Marriage Act?

What group wants further restrictions on drugs?

What is your hero Rand Paul's position on these clearly reduction in government issues?

Shoot me some links of where Rand has been for these things, I watch a couple of Youtube videos, read a few articles daily, but do not have the time to research as much as I should on "fringe" issues where I disagree with him.  I agree on so much maybe it is a defense mechanism.  I also don't go out of my way to ask family members if my mom was an A$$hole growing up.  Maybe I should get on that. It just seems that I am feeding this confirmation bias, LoL. 
 
About abortion, there is definitely a great contingent in the Republican party that wants to outlaw abortions.  I disagree with them, I think most libertarian minded people do, but understand why the two aren't mutually exclusive.  A lot of people believe that the fetus should be entitled to all of the rights and protections afforded to citizens of the United States, under the Constitution.  It is intriguing, but I know that we love murdering fetuses more than we enjoy good debate about the merits of reasonable restrictions including outlawing 3rd trimester abortion.  We can't even agree that shoving a metal spike into the head of a living breathing infant that is trying to crawl out of the toilet where his mother delivered him is wrong. So I would say that even if it was a great moral dilemma (which I think it is), our country just isn't ready to stop scrambling fetuses etc.  It is actually a pretty hot button topic,  it is akin to the 2nd amendment for liberals, I am surprised that it is not a constitutional amendment by now, with how many people enjoy it.  

I know that Rand is pro life, and has voted numerous times for the federal government to stop funding abortion, I am not aware of him attempting to make abortion illegal. If he did I actually don't know if I care that much, he has made comments I disagree with.  Numerous in fact, including his weird statements about droning a liquor store thief.  He is not my God, he is merely the best politician I see in the den of thieves at the moment.  I also like Ted Cruz, but will openly disagree with him if he says something I disagree with.  

He has said that the defense of marriage act is a losing battle. He thinks it should be a state's issue.  A view that is IDENTICAL to Barry O's view.

Well, the one in power for sure.  More legal dispensary raids during Obama's federal tenure than during Bush's.  Not sure if he can't keep his dogs on a leash or what the problem is,  It almost seems as if he says one thing then does the other.  

I actually don't even know what further restrictions you are talking about,  maybe you could clear that up.  I am guessing it is the same 75% of A-holes, like John McCain who get kickbacks from Correction corp of America, to keep jails 99% full for slave labor etc.  I do not support that. Pretty sure Rand Paul is for legalization.  I don't know,  I am not his Biographer, I just see him as the best current option.
