No it does not. Yes we pay max 60% all inclusive. I do not pay 60%, i pay 38%.

And then we have loads of deductions that is pulled out of our salary before we pay tax of the rest.

If you have a job, loans, car, phone, transport to your job, union fees, ect ect you can easely deduct 10-20 k $ or even more before you pay tax.

Every dane over 18 have a standard deduction of 8650 that everyone gets if you have an income. So if you convert the lets say 20.000 dollars into a lower tax percentage i am sure you would see we do not really pay that much in tax.

Mikael, it is not that I want a 6 year old to die.

I just don't want six year old to depend on an inept govt that couldn't run a cash for clunkers program

so that kid grows up leaning of their government for everything, and try to nickel and dime the govt. (read the tax payer) for every thing they can get their hands on. 

I believe in reform, I just do not believe we should become like our spineless entitled European/socialist neighbors.

because if we do we lose what it is to be American,

 that is why it is frustrating to see some cheerleader from denmark applauding our descent into mediocrity, because you will never understand what it is to be an American.

Absolutely true. The current system isn't perfect but it's the BEST IN THE WORLD. Now I'm supposed to believe the U.S. government is going to improve it. Their track record loudly conflicts with this being even a remote possibility. FEMA couldn't get water to people sitting on a bridge for 3 days during Katrina. The Defense Dept refuses to call Hasan a terrorist. And I'm supposed to believe this healthcare takeover is a good thing. IMPOSSIBLE.

(CBS) A man weighing around 900 pounds died after he had to be cut out his chair in home, reports CBS affiliate WSPA-TV from Greenwood, S.C.

Authorities say he was stuck to a chair for nine months.

Daniel Webb, 33, died after being taken from his home on County Farm Road Wednesday. Webb had been in a medical chair for nine months, covered in sores and human waste.

Authorities say Webb died from cardiac arrest.

Webb hadn’t left his house, or even walked for almost nine months. His wife Ada Webb says he hurt his knee and could no longer walk. He sat in a Lazy-boy for the rest of his life. "If he would have had the proper care we tried to get for him back in March this would have never happened,"    his wife said during an interview Thursday afternoon.

It is indeed..........& the only reason this person exerts so much energy here denigrating our society is that, deep down in places he wont share with us, he longs to be an American but doesn't have either the balls or the fortitude to pick up & come over here. If he was truly happy with his way of life he wouldn't be in this forum every day crapping on our society & its problems.

A) I am a liberal, so i share many of the views of the liberals there
B) I am a political junkie, love politics and everything involved in it. I guess it is like following a sports team, just playing politics.
C) American politics is great theater, interesting, polarizing and with a lot of edge and extremes.
D) I have a fair amount of connection to the states with a gf from there. So obviously i care (although we are not living there).
E) I love to annoy the fuck out of guys like Cd329 who is so clearly very upset that someone might offer up a little bit of opposition to his 180.

I think that just about cover the bases?

why is it so hard for you to give me some answers from on the ground in Denmark from how your mortgage system works for the end users?? i've asked you numerous times, how does it really work and what do people say about it, about homeownership, about debt,....

The Principal of Balance
enables borrowers to refinance their mortgages when housing prices go up AND sell their mortgage bonds at current market prices when housing prices go down to preserve their equity.  In the United States, borrowers can refinance when rates decline and housing prices rise, but they have to suffer negative equity when housing prices decline.  Housing prices often decline in a recession, and negative equity restrains labor mobility by nailing home-owners to their existing homes until prices rise and they can sell without a loss.

In Denmark, when recessions hit and housing prices fall, borrowers can sell their straight securitized bonds in a secondary bond market and refinance their mortgage at the current market price for their home.  This flexibility protects consumers from negative equity and empowers workers with greater labor mobility.

The gist (because I can see you have short attention span) is that our children in this country are being raised with a sense of entitlement from day one.

You completely missed the point. The point is, it should not be so that ordinary hardworking people in USA have to rely on "charity" to get an operation that will save their child's speak/hearing abilities.
