I have no doubt that KISS sits at your burger station.
The problem with your logic is this: no doubt I make more than you. Why should I be taxed to pay for things that you use, but I don't?
I'll answer it for you to free up your afternoon. Because it is for the betterment of society. If society is better, so is my business.
YEa and if society is getting taxed like crazy, your business will not succeed because the government is taking all the money that could be spent at your business.

Actually think there are good & valid arguments to be made on both sides as far as the entirety & parts of the bill. In general, I'm for it for various reasons but can certainly understand the opposition, though I don't think alot of it has been depicted or explained well, fairly or even very accurately from either side due to partisanship. And much can't be known at all right now & will have alot to do with how it develops in the next 4 yrs & it's implementation.
What doesn't help is the vicious partisanship (& whose absolutely right or wrong & therefore a socialist/communist a-hole, lol) but who knows, it's been coming to this point for a while & may have beneficial aspects to it in the long run. Happened to catch Beck last nite & of all people found myself agreeing with him on some things that unfortunately, I'm not sure is even a possibility anymore. Thoughts about how it's us, the people who need to make the changes in our own attitudes, values, knowledge & understanding of the constitution/history, civility, basic respect for others whether likeminded or not, etc that can make the biggest impact in relation to our govt & elected leaders.
Am afraid we've maybe gone past that point as a society in some basic ways, but it's refreshing to see folks digging into things & trying to understand & really get to the heart of stuff that they probably wouldn't have otherwise. And maybe it's taken all the other BS & things gettin even worse economically & otherwise for some good things to evolve, who knows? Definitely interesting times -

the democrazies do not understand that BG90.....they will tax the businesses till they close up shop or leave the country....because their unions want to own everything including the Gov't...BIG FAT GOV'T...... that is what they want...EOS
and those of us on the opposite side want less and less Gov't control
pretty simple......those wanting all GOVT are winning at the moment....if they continue to win then we join the European Socialists and eventually doom to FREEDOM as we once knew it.
The will of the people is the only legitimate foundation of any
government, and to protect its free expression should be our first
object.
Were we directed from Washington when to sow and when to reap, we should
soon want bread.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the
government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of
taking care of them.

Acer - wish it was that simple, but it's not & never has been just like people & relationships aren't. The deeper probs have nothing neccessarily to do with either party or Obama's admin & just gettin them out. Or even with just limiting govt & govt spending, etc, etc. It's freedoms, the fair-minded, civil, honest, hardworking and courageous people and balance of capitalism & aspects of socialism is what has made this country great in the past. Those folks & that spirit still exist but whether that kind of greatness can be reclaimed is in serious jeopardy -

Sorry Van, forgot that you like most left wing liberals think your opinion is so enlightened and above those who disagree. Typical MSNBC garbage. My analogy was meant to illustrate the fact that if you want to pay for other's healthcare that is your option, but don't enforce your social agenda on me. I frankly don't care whether someone that is too lazy to work, or pay for health insurance, can pay for medical care or not. Of course you, like most left wing liberals don't bother yourself with realistic budget figures, or how we are going to pay for all of these entitlement programs, let's just do the right thing, get in a circle and sing kum-ba-ya. I am sure our defecit will just work itself out...
But I guess I am the naive one... go back to watching sponge bob with your kids, it has about the same basis of reality as Obama Care

Under Obamacare you can go into a restaurant and order whatever you want without money ..and NOT get kicked out or arrested ..
What you do after eating is just hand the check to the guy at the table next to you and he HAS to pay the bill + the tip .....
Excuse me sir, but the guy at the next table doesn't have enough money to pay for your check ...
Well look, I had a pre-existing condition when I came into this restaurant......I was hungry..... and you serve food right ? So I'm entitled to eat here without paying anything...
See that table next to the wall ? Where the group of people are having a party give my check to them ....if they can afford to have a party, than they can afford to pay for my bill..........
Hey ..and while your at it give me 6 cannoli to go and put it to their bill ...will ya..

Has anyone ever had a job where you did more work then the next guy? The next guy happened to notice that, after awhile of observing the hard workers work ethic he was still ok with doing less work on a daily basis, because 'hey why the hell not, this guy is doing all the work i can sit back and enjoy the day not use my energy'.
now after you have just read that ask yourself what person you are... are you the hard worker, or the guy that just sat back and watched the other do more work?
Now after you answer that question, do you think its fair if both of those individuals got paid the same amount? ( socialism)
Now after you answer that, ask yourself; if you were the guy that worked harder while getting paid the same amount, but kept working hard and eventually moved up in the company after years of hard work, would it be ok to have the gov't say you need to pay more because, well quite frankly your lifestyle is better then the guy who did not work hard. (Obamaism)
Now please guess what guy is more then likely to complain... all your opinions and answers would be greatly appreciated

Society foots the bill no matter what if an individual doesn't have insurance and cant pay.
A hospital or clinic cannot turn someone away who is in need of immediate medical care. It is part of their oath to help anyone, they dont go over balance sheets and income statements before deciding whether to admit someone or not.
Hospitals are required by federal law to treat individuals. Once they individuals are treated and cant pay or dont have insurance... You/society end up footing the bill.

Under our current system you are correct, which is why changes need to be made. Higher taxes, more government spending, and more entitlements is not the answer. If it was, social security and medicare wouldn't be operating in the red.

All you students out there that need help with financial aid do not expect private companies to help you... you now rely on the government. They snuck that one in the health care bill. Why would the government need to sneak in policies? What do they have to hide? IF the gov't could not run the cash for clunkers, ( that failed faster then it lasted) what are they going to do to our students?
