So the cops are called because there's a drunk guy sleeping behind the wheel at a drive thru.
Cops come, wake the guy up and have a conversation with him, very civil. So when they go to put cuffs on the guy, the guy becomes belligerent and starts to fight with the cops . Holy cow. Two cops, 1 suspect in their grasp. The guy not only grabs the cops taser, he pushes the two cops on their azzes and runs away. Makes a silly attempt at firing the taser at the cops backwards while running forward. No shot at hitting them.
Soon after, the cops shoot the guy. kill him.
I mean, W.T.F. They had his car. Not only that, when cops go into certain area's, shouldn't they call for back up in the horribly political environment we are living in..?..
None of this is making any sense.
Don't get me wrong for a second. They should have called for back up. But, once the guy started fighting, they should have hit him in the knees and ankles with their bats. Just my opinion. Just maim the guy and it would have been a simple process.

Double, that was terrible indeed. Those no knock search warrants created this. Have to go! A death like this not worth any amount of "suspected' drugs.
I have to tell ya, I grew up with a cop as a father, now passed. Was he perfect, no, but he was a damn good man and steered me straight. At age 10 I watched my off-duty dad almost get killed by a black man, high on drugs and breaking into cars. Do I hate all black men? No, never have. Doctor King said you judge a man by his character. Those words have always stuck with me. I try to live by that.
I ask you try not to judge ALL cops by the few. The cop that killed Breona had no idea what he just walked into, now he has to live with that. Very sad.

If the cops banged on my door in the middle of the night I doubt I would hear them say Police, and even if I did would still grab my gun. Anybody can say police. Don't understand why they do that!!??
Mr. Brooks shot in the back such as bad situation. He did point and discharge that taser. Officer had the right to shoot, but better judgement could have prevailed it seems. But I keep asking what goes through the officers mind? Calm and respectful one moment, then trying to flee along with counterattack the next.
Paul Howards "photo op" charges against the officers did nothing but divide the country further. Claiming taser not deadly when last week he said taser was deadly weapon in police hands.
America needs to sit down and talk! Over the years, I've been mistreated by police, my wife has, both my kids have. I was accused of doing 83 mph in Nevada when I know I never exceeded 70. My wife stopped 1/2 mile from our house for no reason, cop said he ran plate and it belonged to another vehicle. He was wrong. Just wanted to checkout my wife. My son stopped by State Trooper woman after he borrowed my truck to pick up motor block. Got ticket for my expired plate (2 days) and told him if she saw him out that night in that truck he was going to jail. Kid didn't even know plate was expired. She stopped him for driving slow on back roads with flashers on. He looked suspicious! Heard they got rid of her.
But I have had many more positive contacts with police. Just takes a few to ruin it.

Whatever happened to the warning shot? While I will never put myself in that position, I'm pretty sure if I were being chased by the cops and I heard a bullet or two whizzing by, I'd stop right there and then. I believe most people would too.

Not sure how they do it down there but up here in the northeast once police are inside the establishment, all parties inside are informed who they are. If that was not enough their shields dangling from their necks and or their gear states who they are. I seriously don't believe they went in to kill. Its awful and tragic however you do not start shooting a gun blindly.

You make good point about warning shots.. I have never heard shots behind me..Although one time when I was a teen,,I did hear a security guard shout out Halt or I'll Shoot and me and my friend froze in place..
If, you do point a gun ..any kind of gun,at a policeman ..his training ,,I would think ..would dictate, that he would fire first and ask questions later..
