Agreed on that assessment of human nature. Been handicapping for awhile, though I never knew people spent so much time on these message boards! Damn some of you folks get so bent out of shape. Do your homework, make your call take everyone else's opinion as a part of the larger matrix and enjoy the game nothing else to be done. Dude - you are missing the point.  It might help to read my post (the second post in this thread) again.  You pulled a Palin, I asked a question, and you went back to your talking points that are not relevant.  While your personal story is a nice one and probably good for a made for TV Liftetime movie about a laid off worker who rescues his family by going to vegas and listening to whales - it simply isnt relevant to what I was asking.

My point is this - WHALES DONT BET IN VEGAS - WHALES DONT BET AT THE WALKUP WINDOW AT THE HILTON.  Why would a whale lay -110?  Why would anyone sharp lay -110 when they can lay -102?  And dont say it is because of the new law etc.... - anyone - and I mean anyone - that bets of size can deal in cash with offshores.

20 years ago your story might make sense.  In todays world, it makes as much sense as listening to a payphone to hear a rich guy call his stockbroker to make a trade - in todays world they make their own trades online.  Just as real gamblers do.

So either you are making the whole thing up, or you are listening to some dude with 10K to lose because he had a lucky night at a slot machine from Kansas on vacation.

Yea, Im with panther, man Ive been fading you for the past two weeks,  You put up what the sharps at the Hilton are playing, but them guys are losing man.  What about last monday night with the Jets.  I dedicated a post to why is everybody on the Jets, b/c I knew they were going to lose.  However, you may be right tonight, b/c Balt will probaly cover, b/c Pitt is the public team.

panther....Il tell you what. but before i do let me give u an education real quick. Sharps whales whatever, they still bet offshore but the problem is with this new law they literally have to wait months to get their cash as many of the sportsbooks today dont even do wire outs(bookmaker and uwager are exceptions) altho no sharp in their right mind is going to bet with bookmaker on baseball with a 20c line. Plus, offshore besides bookmaker and uwager have now very low max bets allowed and yea they do have multiple accounts but to them this new law has become a problem as it is also to us collecting.
but il make you a deal.....If the ravens and the over dont hit tonight, il never post another fucking play on this board. I might interact with some of the guys that are on my friends list but wont post a play. However, the flip side to that is after the ravens and over do hit, you never come in another one of my threads! deal?????

vanzck.......Offshore wagering the way its become with this new law restricting money flow both in and out and causing many sportsbooks to not even be able to wire in and out has chased away many of the whales. Ppl dont want to bet 20-50 dimes on a game and have to wait 3- 6 months to collect.
Also, the outfits you keep bringing up offshore with the 102 lines have extremely low max bets allowed and boot "steam" players and sharps out rather quickly or just lower their max bets to dime or nickle action.
yes, they do still open multiple outs for themselves offshore but many still like the vegas gig much better cause they can go in and make their bets or send their runners and collect on spot.

I dont wait 2 months for my Offshore monies and I deal in mostly cash. Figure out the rest.

Anybody that bets of size doesnt have to wait a day to get their money.  Period.  You have no idea what you are talking about because you are not one of the people betting big amounts.  Like a caveman looking up at the stars, you are talking about a world you dont understand.

Offshores have low max bets?  Let me insert a .  Ever check out Pinnacle or Matchbook or the Greek?  Vegas is the place known for lower limits.  Please.  You are out of your league here pal.

internet is a place full of b.s and dramas. i keep hearing these bullshit stories about how people are going to lose their house if they don't get the lock of the day or if their "all-in" pod failed. it reminds me of  onetimer who faked his story about his house going foreclosure if he didn't win his "all-in" bet.

Vanzack.....matchbook is a broker. Pinnacle and the greek dnt book 20 dimes -40 dimes on sides especially in college. bookmaker and uwager are the only 2 books out there that take large amts although even bookmaker restricts on totals and college.
also, many of the sportsbooks limit you to few withdrawals a week nowadays, many just one, and have low limits to their checks issued, which take foreve, to recieve.
a guy like panther who may bet 150 dolars a game and win up to 3500 for the week will have no problem collecting rapidly. But those who have over 100 dimes in acct will have to wait forever(except bookmaker who has unlimited wire withdrawals)

pinnacle offers wager as high as 10k... check out "thegreek"... hell they even transfer the money to you with moneygram ON THE SAME DAY.. all you have to do is ask for it...

i know of a professional gambler(make a living by gambling) who bets thousands online. right now he has about 10 online accounts loaded with cash that allows him to bet tens of thousands at will... going all the way to vegas just to bet big is a waste of money while you can do all of that at the convenience of your own home..
