not at all.  i'm just a guy who has worked hard for many yrs to get pretty good at sports betting, and when i see some newbie come along and act so arrogant, i just wana give him a dose of humility before the losing streak hits 

why do you care?  He's winning.  You sound jealous.  Seriously, that has to be the only reason why you're bothered by how well someone is doing.

i don't care for cocky ppl, especially when it comes to betting, it takes many yrs to get good at this gig, so to see someone come in and 'disrespect the game', i feel the need to put them in their place. 

an analogy would be like veteran poker players sitting at a table in vegas, and some newbie comes in and starts talking trash, they would be real quick to put him in his place

anyhow, if mr. greatness is so good and knows the teams so well, how come he could not find more than 2 games last saturday in a full slate?

as i said to him, keep posting numerous plays per week and you will regress to the norm, just like the rest of the human race, there is nothing more special about this guy than the rest of us who have paid our dues and taken our lumps over the yrs even though we spend 8 hrs a day studying sports angles

But if you aren't willing to post your plays or accept this man's challenge you really do need to shut the fuck up. He's contributing something, you are creating drama.

 

 

 Every new season brings a new bus-load of attention person who want to be "The Man". It used to bug me but I let it go. I don't bother posting picks anymore because it's a waste of time.............there are plenty of opinions here already, most of whom have no problem bumping their own threads when they have a good week...........or not bumping when they don't.

There is still good info to be found here...........just have to read between the bs.

the guy is a fraud, came in here making statements about how great he is, ignores the negative comments, goes 12-3 in week 1, then only finds 2 games in week 2 because he is trying to protect his record, then picks 38 games because he's pissed all of a sudden

the guy says "the only time it's a fluke is when i lose"

too funny, i just pointed out how his only 2 picks last saturday were flukes, a 1 pt cover in the final 3:27 of the arizona game, and fumble return for TD at the 12 minute mark of the texas game, with no more scoring, a 1 pt win and a 2 1/2 pt win

yet this guy claims he never gets lucky, that he only gets UN lucky

what a fraud, i'm trying to save you guys money from blindly tailing this complete fraud

NONE. they would let him talk, and talk, and talk, and smile quietly behind their cards as they OUTPLAYED him, and the trash talkers chip stack got smaller and smaller. So maybe he is lucky...that is obvious from the 1st week...the question is how lucky...no one goes the equivalent of 13-3 over a long period of time....but the bottom line is that he did go 13-3 so MAYBE he knows something, and MAYBE he knows enough to hit 60% on the year. MAYBE he got REALLY lucky and ends up at 40% on the year, i dont know...but neither do you.
SO the moral of the story is to LET THE MAN TALK... because IN THE END there will be no question, because the numbers dont lie ...so UNTIL THE END COMES, just leave him alone, make your picks, try to outplay him, but most importantly....smile BEHIND your cards.

i don't know gridironguy... and odds are he is right that MGM is a flash in the pan (law of probability)...

but... to challenge someone and insist that they have to pick 12 games every week for the entire year in order to prove they are a good handicapper... is proof (solid hard stone-cold proof) that gridironguy is not a good handicapper... because a good handicapper does not ever force himself to play too many games, and a good handicapper knows that you rake it in at the start of the season and build a good bankroll, and then you spend the rest of the year protecting that money and making sure you have a strong bankroll for Bowl Season... because the 80% possibilities that exist in the first month of the year do not exist again until Bowl Season...

so the very fact that you threw down this gauntlet tells me much more about your deficiencies than it tells us anything about him...

Say it takes years to get good at this game and some one come in a disrespect the game. Well that newbie has 50 % more post then you and seems like a better record 81 % the numbers speak stop bitching and post some info.
