err, not being sarcastic.  I plan on going back up there this winter.  I used to always go up there when I was younger (18-20) for the legal drinking and great strip clubs.  Beautiful city

i agree montrreal is a great city, best party city i've probably ever been to.. its the fans that annoy the hell out of me, i cant stand any montreal fan.

I have no problems with the French people. The separation part I had a problem with is my beef.

One time I came into Montreal early 20's and ask for directions to the the Bell Centre. They wouldn't talk to me cause of my English. Luckly I was with a French girl. I am being serious too.

The Refs screwed philly again allowing a goal that was put in with a high stick calling a foul that wasn't with 1:09 left in the game Guess the league wants the # 1 seed the beloved Montreal Candians  Le'Habitant  Blue Blanc Rouge to win this  just like always well us Philly fans are use to it we can handle it!!!!

we dont think we are better we know we are better 24 stanley cups says it all we are a hockey town 100 year anniversary next year for the canadiens all star game there next year and the stanley cup banner going up for 2008 philadelphia fans need to stop worrying about glasses of beer being thrown at players and start worrying about where there money is being lost all philly fans are crying tonight i tried warning them but they wanted to put there money where thier mouth is im sure theyre somewhere in philly thinking about the game this loss signifies alot the flyers had two leads and gave up the game in the last 20 seconds of the third hats off to biron but the flyers blew it so i say take montreal game two since philadelphia will still be thinking about game number one and that glass of beer thrown at their players and how they gave the game away to the habs flyers suck and they know it deep down inside

i thought this series would go to 6 games but now i think 5 montreal game two is a shoe in they will not be that careless next time see the defense clamp down and also philly still feeling a bit let down after that game its hard to loose like that i understand its just that montreal at the end is the better team philly is lucky to have passed through washington i was more convinced by game number 7 against boston 5 to 0 in a elimination game 7 habs killer instinct came out and sent boston golfing and i know philly is starting to go the same path

the only idiots i see are the philladelphia flyers for loosing the game in the last twenty five seconds of the game when they had the lead those are the only idiots and the ones in ontario that support philadelphia aswell montreal rules we got the best nitelife best women and we know how to have fun you guys are just a bunch of haters cause you know i won my bets and i got laid and had a party downtown with the rest of the realest hockey fans in the nhl believe me i went to hockey games in toronto everyone is depressed and the atmosphere is wak get a life and try talking like that in our face here in montreal they will flip you over and burn you down like the cop cars in the riots i think toronto needs a life and start supporting the only canadien team in the playoffs

Montreal, the city itself has gone downhill over the past few years.
 
Its turning into a dump. The streets are dirty. They peddle drugs and prostitution right out there in daylight.
 
Having the Habs in the hunt for the Cup is the best thing that Montreal could hope for because they really don't have anything else.  Montreal used to be the place but now its turning to Toronto.
 
Toronto is so much cleaner and the atmosphere is much better.
If only their hockey team didn't suck so much.
 
I went to Montreal a few years ago.  I then reurned last year and what a difference for the worse. Just being objective.
I have also been to Toronto twice. Toronto and Montreal are like night and day.

err i dont know where  your from but quebec vs the rest of the countryt was a heated political topic a few years ago.. its deeper then just hockey.. they wanted to seperate from canada and become their own country.. no harm done but it is REALLY alot deeper then just hockey.. back in the day (a few years ago) about 40% of quebeckers hated the rest of us. But then there was a huge ice storm and they asked for ontario to bail them out.. i love my country but internal politics is a huge deal up here.

agreed...  the gardens used to have its roof blown off by true fans.. but for the acc it was the quietest building ive ever been in.. im serious you could head the blades cutting into the ice if the leafs were losing.. ive made a promise that ill never pay anything close to ticket price for the worst hockey production on ice in the league.. its all corporate stiffs in ther now

Cut the crap guys.  I was in Montreal a couple weeks ago and yes it is different than T.O.  Who cares?  Right now they're in the 2nd round and up 1-0.  Why are you guys talking about the political and financial state of affairs?  What does this have to do with anything hockey?  PLEASE move on for fuk sakes

this is not a political debate or the parliament i find ontario has no life they stop drinking at like what 130 montreal is like all night lot more action here than there but hey to each his own montreal is winning the series and the cup you people in toronto could sit and watch

hey puppet man the only thing in the last few years thats going down is your bankroll put your money where your mouth is i bet montreal to win the cup in the beginning of the year at plus 5000 i bet 200 to win 10 000 i strongly feal montreal showed persistence and didnt give up thats why they are number 1 in the conference and 1 to zero in the series stop betting on flyers and maybe you wouldnt be crying about the penalty calls
