Qualitative thoughts from an Avs fan

I live here in Denver and unfortunately, the Avs are skating fairly well but seem to miss a lot of shots/scoring opps.  I remember the first game was away at Minnesota.  The game was on the radio and the Avs seem to always play them close.  Being here at the Pepsi Center hasn't been any kind of advantage, at least when it has come to scoring. 
And about 7-10 days ago, the Edmonton game we popped in 6.  The post game show interviews had many thinkin (hopin) this was going to be our game changer.  But then Avs just looked like couldn't get anything going, and lost again
What I can say in that first away at Minn, Avs gave a late charge down 3-1 and scored.  @ 3-2 Avs hit the post must've been 3 more times before desperation gave way to a junk goal by Minn to seal it.
I have always felt since the Wild started to play Avs in this league, these teams seem to square off fairly evenly and I always believe that the Wild cannot sweep us in their place.




Holy garbage,.. Well said.  Do all the girls look like you and know there sports In Colorado? Unfortunately, Minnesota will win after a loss to Vancouver.(I think)

Like your card like the Avs - great coach. You're right about coaches and the ridiculous lines - Bruins are going through it now too I am worried about ability to score. Seguin should be playing on first line with krecji. Claude is messing with lines!

I think mini should win, but i asked because I didn't like the juice
-Giggy in net, not enough time to judge him on the season
-Avs are 1-4 on the road and have been struggling without land
-Avalanche are 6-14 in the last 20 meetings in mini

Thanks for the post, Unplug. If Giguere was an unknown, I might not have considered the Avs but even though he hasn't played much this season, he's a proven goaltender. Last year, he started half the season for Colorado and he posted a 2.28 ga and .920 Sv. Through his 15 year career with Calgary,  Anaheim, Toronto and Colorado, he has a 2.5 gaa and a .913 Sv. I realize they've struggled on the road this season but each night brings a different set of variables so I'm really not concerned with their road record, I'm only concerned with tonight which is why I'm also not interested in trivial information such as Colorado being 6-14 in their last 20 meetings. Most of these guys were playing junior hockey when this stat was initiated....different rosters seem to exist every couple of years. The two things that concern me are whether Hedjuk and Statsny will be productive and whether Colorado can stay out of the box. Hedjuk/Statsny combine for a team leading 55 shots and they only have 4 goals combined. Statsny is also only 1 of 4 starters that is negative on the +/- ratio with a -6. Statsny and Hedjuk need to come through tonight for the Avs to win.

GL AMD,

On 5dimes Colorado is ML+150 and also -1 +325...seems like a no brainer to put a little extra on that -1, seems like good value to me, any thoughts on doing such?

i live in colorado and can tell you that the avs are worth a shot at those odds.  they are a good skating team, but not enough finishers.  i was impressed with min in a 2-1 loss vs van the other night.  they play hard and seem to be in every game.  i will ride the lightning tonight.  ml -140, tt o 3 -115, gt o 5.5, parlay ml -140/gt o 5.5.  they pulled out a miracle for me vs mon scoring 3 goals in the final minutes to win my tt and gt bets.
