Thanks for the post...I have to look a little deeper into these games but so far, I have to say that I'm not willing to lay -160 on Minnesota. Minnesota started on fire this season and I backed them 4 or 5 times but they're currently on a disappointing slide and, honestly, only one line has contributed recently for the Wild. When you look at Varlamov, he hasn't played poorly for Colorado as he's posting a 2.5 gaa and .910 Sv.. Colorado has actually been productive with their top line, Parenteau 7-3-10, Duchene 3-7-10 and McGinn 1-5-6 but they need Statsny and Hejduk to step up. Ive only seen one Colorado game this season so I'm not the best person to give an honest analogy of this team. However, being familiar with these players, I'd say +140 is definitely worth a shot epecially since I like playing road dogs in the NHL if I believe the team actually has a shot and Colorado can certainly pull out a win tonight.
I like Price and he was a big reason why I liked Montreal against Tampa. However, Florida plays a much different style than Tampa and I see this game as a grind with not a lot of great scoring opportunities. With that said, Florida does have the worst goals against in the NHL...Theodore .890 Sv, Clemmensen .837 Sv so Montreal at nearly a pick might not be a bad play. However, if I made any play on this game, Florida tt under 2.5 is probably the best play. I don't think Florida has the firepower to net 3 against Price.
Of the 3 games you mentioned, Tampa is the team whom I don't mind laying the juice. Washington is a one line team and I think Tampa's 2nd and 3rd line will have a great game tonight...just a bad matchup for Washington all around.

Looks like Giguerre will be getting the start for the Avs. Injuries have plagued the Avs so far this season which explains the expensive opening line for Minnesota backers. Colorado's top two lines have remained healthy and Giguerre has been solid in his limited action with a .933 Sv in 80 minutes of work. I'll take a shot with the Avs at a great price...

Thanks for the insight....The same thing is going on in Minnesota that is going on in San Jose... the coach is fukking with the lines by taking Heatley off the first line and putting him on the second line. When Heatley was paired with Parise and Koivu, they scored more goals in the first four games than the first line has scored in the last 9. What the fukk is wrong with these coaches???? It's not rocket science, You don't fukk with chemistry. In any case, these two teams do play each other close and in the first meeting, 2 of Minnesota's 4 goals were on the power play. Minnesota is a small team and the Avs have big guys who can skate with Minnesota. If the Avs are able to use their size and get in the way of Backstroms vision, maybe we'll see a little Phil Espisito esque production tonight ![]()
