The Blackhawks lost ALOT from last years team. Big Buff who was one of their MVPs in the playoffs, both of their goalies, Andrew Ladd (a captain now), They are playing alot better right now winning something like 9 in a row. But when was the last time a team 2peated? For some reason it just doesnt happen in the new nhl. Is Marty Turco going to take them there?? They just dont have the depth. Their top 2 lines are maybe the best in the league but they dont have enough in net and on their 3rd and 4th lines to do it again. Dont waste your money.

...let me guess, you started playing hockey at 5 and played simple pond hockey after school like all the little kids honing their skating and stick handling skills...then u went on to play Junior A (like everyone claims) but had to quit b/c of a knee injury or some shit. Now ur out West hating the fact that u have to be here for whatever the hell u have to do and where "EVERYONE" is a homer, misinformed and high as fuck.
I'm actually more inclined to think that ur one of those people who laced them up late and can barely skate but yet think they know everything there is to know about hockey. For every one of these theres one who's never played and think they know it all...
If you want to play simple pond hockey go back east, otherwise rent an ice rink...better yet maybe take up cricket...

I agree...there are a lot of ppl out there who havn't been exposed enough to the game yet think they're experts and consequently end upl ooking like fools. I started playing at 8...obviously playing is as much exposure as ur going to get but I don't think u have to necessarily play to know the game.
I think it's more the fact that ppl are homers, biased, and too short-sited to see what's going on around the rest of the leauge. And yes flutie, there is a lot of that in Vancouver but it's all over the place too lol...

Hardly read this thread, so excuse me. The fact that I saw very little support on BOS and Detroit, made me stop reading. Goal tending WILL get BOS there and discipline will kepp them there, Detroit's offense, when they play(and they will) all 3 periods of any playoff game will get them through...
Depending on seeding, I see it this way...
SEMI'S:
BOS vs Phili
DET vs Vanc(maybe! possibly San Jose)
CUP:
DET vs BOS, in finals
Detroit wins Cup!
Sleeper alert: Montreal!

The Blackhawks play Detriot very tough and well. They both have good offenses but I think the Blackhawks defense is just a lil better Crawford as Niemi was last year is the wildcard and hes been playing very.I think the Hawks knock Detriot out of the playoffs
