Sid the Kid is Delusional

Question

Sidney Crosby is supposedly one of the best players in the game. In today&#x27;s game he looks like about the 5th best player on the ice forget about the league. I&#x27;d rank him about 25th in the league. Ovechekin makes Sid&#x27;s abilities look childish or kid-like. I think Sid is getting too much ice time and he&#x27;s trying to conserve energy or something. I&#x27;d play him less often and hope for a maximum effort. I mean Mario could get away with floating around but it doesn&#x27;t work for Sid.

[/Quote]absolutely true.Caps are probably the best offensive team in the league, and though they can probably win a round or maybe two in the playoffs just from pure skill, they are not built to go deep in the playoffs.  Defence and superior goaltending is whats needed in the playoffs.

There was a slapper he should have had but for the most part he was left hung out to dry. Several turnovers, Pens tried to stick handle out of their end, bad passing. Terrible looking PP too - when the Pens were up a man, the teams finally looked about even.

Fleury played pathetic. Some WEAK, WEAK goals. The D collapsing on Backstrom leaving Ovechkin wide open in front of the net wasn&#x27;t too good either.

id say right now ovechkin is better, but in the long run, crosby will be the man. not to many europeans play great for along time. crosby will be great for 15&#x2B; years in a row, where ovechkin and most good young europeans have 6 to 8 years then they fall off for a few years then have a couple average years, thats just the way it goes. ovie may be different then others, will just have to see. only european i can think of that had 10&#x2B; great years would be jagr, selanne and federov had good careers but they were great for there 1st few years then fell off then played average. sundin and koivu were above average for there careers. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;can you think of many eurapeans the had 10 to 15 great years and i mean where they get 90 points or more every season or 40 to 50 goals every season.

Fleury played pathetic. Some WEAK, WEAK goals. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;that&#x27;s a rerun EVERY GAME!!! Penguins fans can thank that ASSHOLE Ray Shero for NOT retaining Ty Conklin from last season AND letting other core 2nd line players get loose. he completely busted last years chemistry. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;btw, ex for one freeking game against Detroit, Jordan Staal has been invisable this season.

The penguins power play was horrible today.  Actually the whole game they seemed to be in slow motion compared to washington.  I love watching the caps play, very exciting.  Especially compared to the bums I cheer for.

What better way to say it NJDevils i agree! Everyone loves Ovechekin and says he is better than Crosby. Ovechekin is a great player but to say Crosby isn't as good is a joke Crosby can play he is a star. Ovechekin is more of a pure goal scorer than Crosby i think but Crosby is the overall better player just ask Malkin. Last time i looked Crosby had more points than Ovechekin. Also Ovechekin has taken 383 shots on net and has 43 goals while Crosby has taken 180 shots and scored 23 goals. Ovechekin has taken over a hundred shots more than any other player in the NHL the next player is Zach Parise with only 256 shots on net that tells me you Ovechekin should have 43 goals with that many shots on net!

Talk as mush sh_t as you want, but Crosby's got all the f'ing heart in the world. You wanna see somebody fight like a girl, Semin's your bitch, not Sid, who by the way doesn't take sh_t from anybody. Ovechkin's a goal scorer, the best one in the league, but that's it. And I can't wait till he dislocates his shoulder and never is the same again, give him two more years at his peak. Fleury let up two cheapees, a slapper, and the one that slipped in from just about behind the net. But Fleury proved he's a playoff #1, Jose Theodore is a primadonna, and a pretty crappy goalie all the way around. Its gonna be the Bruins or the Devils, nobody else has a shot in a seven game series. The Caps have to score four to win every night, and that's not happening come playoff time.

I heard on the radio today that Ovechkin and Malkin were standing and talking and shaking hands. Crosby had to go past the two of them. He walked right in between them with his head down and didn't say a word or acknowledge AO's presence.

Fleury is NOT playing up to the money that goofball Shero gave him and letting Conklin, who is now the #1 in Detroit, get away was a HUGE mistake. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;to quote Thumper the bunny, "That&#x27;s not a Flower. That&#x27;s a Little Skunk". in 4 of his last 5 games his GAA has been 4 or higher. he only has two shutouts this season and gets lit up about every other game because he&#x27;s a rebound generating machine that can&#x27;t control the puck.
