VERY "iffy" "goal support" for Lundqvist all season and esp the playoffs. it showed big time this round vs the Bruins. IF Tuukka Rask hadn't played game 4 like he had a buzz on, that series would be done
btw, my pre-playoffs eastern "bracket" HAD Rangers vs Penguins conference final because of Lundqvist in goal BUT he plays for a team with about a 5% power play.

Bruins have scored 18 goals since gm 7 v. Leafs (last 5 gms) with most of those coming against Henrik. To say they can't score is a ridiculous statement. I have been a Penguins fan since the 1970's BUT they have had some "epic falis" since the 2009 Cup win AND if you think that this years playoffs against the likes of the Bruins (probable next round) or any of the Western teams (esp the Kings with Quick in goal) is going to be "EASY", then you haven't been following the Pennies very close over the years

LRR, I don't believe XC was doing anything wrong he was just being a passionate Pens fan. He maybe more the glass is half full, you the more cautious Penguins fan and neither is right or wrong. These Pens are also "our team" and you live with the good and the bad. I know you make mention of the debacles they have had since they won the Cup, but to me the only debacle was the Flyers series last year(not taking anything away from Philly, just the Pen's D, was atrocious). Prior to that they got beat by Halak, who was sensational in that series, and losing to Tampa with a depleted lineup was nothing to be ashamed about. We have been blessed to be able to cheer for a team like this and I will never forget as a twenty year old, taking my savings to make the drive from Winnipeg to Minneapolis to watch them play in the Stanley Cup. I too have cheered for them since the Larouche days and have to fight the bandwagon comments of cheering for them when they got Lemieux or Crosby. My word the Lee for Larouche trade still haunts me.
I couldn't for a minute bet against the Penguins in a playoff game as the money made doesn't offset the disappointment in them losing. Just me though.
Anyway LRR, we may have to agree to disagree on how tough of critic we need to be on the Pens, but I do want to tip my hat for all of the work you do for the board.
I think the Bruins series is going to be a dandy and very much look forward to it. Bruins fans, good luck. Boo Bunney, you should post more.
In closing, for a guy that pretty much just spectates, I do think there is some great handicappers here and I tip my hat especially to AMD, Andarmac, Polar Bear and the old generation of Frozen Tundra, Oldport and TDD.
