new to hockey betting - important question

someone told me if you push on a hockey over/under, you lose juice?  is that common practice or utter bullshit?

lol yeah this stupid local has that rule... its all good i maxed out under 5 -110 in sharks game..

dude doesnt change juice o/u in hockey either

I had a local when I first starting betting and he did the same thing. Then a friend of mine "smacked me in the head" and said I was a dope for paying juice on a push and get another bookie (which are probably all over the place in NJ ).,,,,,,,,,,,

Either find another local or ask people on this site what online books are the most reliable

thanks iceman.. yeah i have a couple books, but this one guy does that...  i just started with him yesterday so i wanted to see the deal is..

the reason i started with him is because he only charges -110 and its really -150 (sharks under), i can max out on him!  basically stealing -40 juice (150-110).

Yeah, if he is giving dime lines on totals that are heavily juiced, you should definitely go with it.  That is, if you like that particular total.  Haha.  4.5 was -110, not 5.  You got a half-puck for nothing.

year's back the juice was -110 on every game not any more

Yep.  When they started juicing totals, it was confusing at first.  Haha.

Totally ridiculous.  Hockey totals are no different than any other sport;  you don't pay for a push....
