Why can't you set it up and I get in. Can that be done? I really don't see myself setting it up quite honestly. I want in, we have some time, I'll check it out.

Well you are the one that wanted to set up the wager in the first place and also you mentioned it's really between you and weathered.  But bottom line you have to put up the wager so other people can use the market.  It's just how it works.

But again before anything happens you have to open an acount.

I'm off for the weekend.

I'll check it out but It seems you know how to do it. I love the play and the concept if possible. Been to matchbook a few times but never opened an account or taken the time to figure out the site.

Guys lets make this happen. If weathered is ok with it, I would not mind splitting the other side with those that want action.  Although OLDPORT seems to want the bet to himself ...

I'll create a matchbook account just for the occasion.

I checked out matchbook and took a good look at the rules and procedures. Really like what I see over there but already knew this. As far as the X-Bets section was concerned I didn't find a good description of the rules and operations. Before I start making my own futures plays on the site it's going to take me some time. We have till the start of the season and really time is on my side. I plan on opening an account this week and we'll see what happens from there. Again it would be much quicker if someone else started the process and I just bought in but I see how it works and understand I must start the prop. I like the play and wan't to do this but it's a week or two down the road and may just look like +250 when and if it happens. I'll keep you posted.

I dont know if you want any more guys in on this, but I would be interested in getting on this bet.  I know it was originally offered towards weathered though.

That's fine but a dime is what I'm offering. My understanding of the process is that if the line is +250, first come first serve for $2500. I'm looking at getting into the stock market for the first time so I certainly won't be going over the dime for a possible 3 years. Lipps maybe you can answer this but it looked to me like the play is eventually graded by the originator, is this right?

Clepto, thats correct.  All markets created in the x-bets section are graded by the person who created the market.

Technically that means at any point I can claim it a winner and collect the funds? Not that I would ever do that but seems a little fishy. Should be protection for both sides.

That's how it is, but in this case where it's very cut and dry an exception would probably be made.  But everyone trust you, it's not like you just joined the board.  Hell, you have been here for 8 years now.

2 weeks till the season starts. I'll have it up by 10 p.m PT Monday Sept 28th or I won't be doing it. I'm leaning towards doing it. One of the Sedin brothers pulled up beside me driving a Black Land Rover on West 4th in Vancouver wednesday. We hit a couple lights side by side. I'd tell you which one but I'm not sure. Think it's a sign. Sorry if that doesn't work for some of you but I'm in no rush.

Well, it's just year two of what would have been a three year wager at +250. Those involved know who you are and I guess it's a good thing for you I didn't like the X-bet procedures.
