also https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=419676 says "It appears the Dallas Stars have decided to trade Jaromir Jagr.

TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com reports that the Stars, who are 12th in the Western Conference, will look to move the veteran forward before Wednesday's deadline.

LeBrun speculates that the Boston Bruins are the the frontrunners to acquire Jagr.

Jagr, 41, leads the Stars with 14 goals and 26 points this season, while playing 34 of the Stars' 35 games."

think it is an excellent "stretch run" pickup for the B's

Should give a boost to their anemic offense and help on the PP.  now give me a solid defenceman and they should be ready for a deep run.

He reminds me of Mark Recchi the year when they won the cup, he's an old veteran who is still playing great hockey and has won the cup a few times before. This is an excellent pickup, all I can say right now is Jarome who?

I like it.  Exactly like Recchi but wish he'd started the season with them.

"The Wreckin' Ball" AND JJ BOTH "oldies but goodies" that still had/got game. don't forget, JJ lead the Stars in scoring.

Being a local, I see this as a big plus for the B's.  They certainly can use the help...
