Can't remember the last time I posted my plays the night before, but I want to grab this line before it moves and I have a strange feeling its going to move the wrong way for me.

Carolina Hurricanes (-120):  This is the one guys.  If Carolina is going to end this slump any time soon, they are going to do it tonight vs the Islanders on home ice.   The Isles took care of the Canes back on October 21st in a 4-3 shootout win so you can look at the revenge factor as well in this one.  Prior to that defeat, the Canes were 7-1-1 vs the Isles in the 9 previous matchups.  This is a completely different Carolina team that has looked absolutely horrible, so those trends are probably moot.  I just got a good feeling about these guys right now......Bring on the haters if you will !  Carolina gets it done.

Love the carolina play tomorrow. Car has lost 7 games in a row and is 0-8-2 in their last 10 games. Something's gotta give eventually. Islanders are 1-4-4 on the road and are on the FRONTEND of a back to back in which they will play in Florida the next night. Seems like a let down spot to me.

Islanders pissed after losing in an 11 round shootout, to the Caps who were favored -200.  They take it out on a team, with no goalie and injured frontline players.  Another 5-2 game just like the Kings did them last night!  Easiest play on the ice tonight!!

jimmy  The Isles won't beat anyone 5-2 on the road, not even Carolina.  But if your right,  I'll be the first to let you know.  I think the Canes show up tonight........finally.

I agree with the NYIsles Pick here.

It's never a good thing to ask a BADDDDD team to do something good for you, however Carolina is worse than the Isles who have shown some fight despite thier record. SO again I will not ask a BAD Carolina team to do something good for me, especially at -120. I am now seeing the line at -115.

Your right.  Carolina has ALOT of problems right now.  I have faded them more then once to start the season.  That being said, all streaks end at some point . Chasing a team to end that slide is just stupid.  Maybe I'm stupid for doing this.   So I'm not going to just sit here and give you 10 reasons why to take the worse team in the NHL tonight.   I cap my games based on situations.  Carolina is in a better situation on home ice tonight after the Isles already beat them this year.  If the Isles were a team that would show up on the road, perhaps I would look the other way.  This losing streak is NOT going to continue much longer.  This team is full of veterans that have alot  of pride.  If i'm on the wrong side, I'll be the first to admit it....fade me if you will

zamboni  your insight is appreciated as always.  what people are also forgetting is that this is the Islanders.  With all do respect to these guys, they have played well at home yes, but its the Islanders......they will not be a playoff team this year.  They struggle on the road.  I have not been on Carolinas side at all this year,  this will be the one time that I do.  BOL brotha.

hirsey   unfortunately I don't have access to +.5 lines.  I think this is a one goal game regardless.

Any thoughts on the Flames tonite Adams ?

Correction, Legace gave up 4 goals.  Also, Carolina have been tied in the third period in each of their last three games.  I am also aware they are without Staahl, and i'm also aware how bad this team has been.  Tell me something I don't know.   And the tooth fairy isn't real?  Whoa.
