I could be wrong..I looked this guy up and he shows up on the Sharks roster...So maybe your right...Bit of a dud trade!!

Yeah, word in DC is no draft pick went to Columbus for Federov.  Minor league defender Theo Ruth went in a 1 for 1



Now I'm much more ok with that trade.

Got the goalie, got the veteran 2nd line center, got a tough forward in cooke.  They want a veteran D-man and they'll be set.

Now comes the playoff push!

What can you gus tell me about Aaron Cooke?


In Pettinger the Nucks get a tough forward who skates well, but lacks a good shot.  He's not afraid to scrap, but he lacks the speed needed to play on a top 2 line.  He's a good checking line wing who should produce about 12 goals, 20 assists in a season.

I just can't wait for the Habs to move...........I know for a move for a guy like Hossa, the solder have to wait till the last munite for the best offers, but hell, now that I don't have a goaler....

Washington has definitely made a splash...Im surprised that the Habs have not made that second move after the Huet deal.

Obviously yes, but if they get a superstar in front, that will not stop any puck at all......

I'm fine with Price and Halak, but that wont get us far in the playoff...  And gettin a rental player (Maybe Hossa) won't rentabilize the deal....

Anyhow, still an hour to go and lots can happen...
