Going to make a total play on this game tonight, probably one that most would disagree with. Over 5.5 +115. Reasons...
First, Blues fired Andy Murray, most fans believe that he had the players thinking to much and not letting them just go out and play their game. Hopefully they start playing more of a run-and-gun style tonight which would lead to more goals both ways.
Second, these teams are usually thought of as good under teams, that may have been the case for most of the season, but not in the last few games. Blues have scored 3 goals in each of the last 4 games, giving up a whopping total of 17 in the same number of games. Over the last 5 the Blues save % is at .885. Chicago has scored 4 or more in the last 4 games for 3 overs and one push.
Third, the Blues have been giving up way too many power plays lately, 17 over the last 2 games. Chicago is killing teams with the man advantage lately, 33% over the last 5 games. If the Blues give up 8 or 9 against Chicago, like they did against Nashville and Vancouver, then this total might be beaten by Chicago alone.
All these reasons sound like a great reason to take Chicago as well, and I am but for only half the amount of my total play. Just hard for me to bet against my team especially with a new coach, although that trend hasn't been very good lately.
