Afternoon Gentlemen and Jules an_wink

Congrats Potsie, hope the semi's go 7 games. Something is telling me to take the Isles in that series. Boo, don't pull a Pirooz and disappear till next year just because your boys are eliminated. Without looking, I do not know when that series starts but I will do an attempted breakdown.

Onto tonight. Hell, I don't know which way to turn. Avs actually outplayed the Knights the last game but lost. Yes, I watched the game. Other than about 2-3 breakdowns, the Avs did outplay the Knights. Knights much more polished at this point. Goalie advantage to Knights. Veteran leadership advantage Knights. Offensive firepower, advantage Avs. Home crowd, well not even close. I went with the away team last night and lost. Not tonight.

Vegas ML and Vegas PL

GL and what do you want to talk about?

Vegas seems to have another level of play when they turn it on, Have not seen that from Colorado. I Like Vegas tonight!

If Colorado wins tonight do you slam Colorado going back home? Just thinking ahead if that happens.

Avs had their chances and Vegas is too much for them. Think Vegas close it out today. No reason to extend this series any further and risk losing it when Avs return home.

Avs money coming in though line down to -125 for VGK.

I just don’t see it. The Avs haven’t really showed the ability to adjust or handle what Vegas is doing.  Vegas has outshot them by 50 over the past 4 games.  There is a real home ice advantage at T-mobile.  I hope Colorado comes out aggressively, pushing the pace as that’s when they’re hard to play against.  Vegas plays the grind it out game way better.  Grubauer is good for giving up 3 tonight so that offense needs to show up.  As does Mackinnon, he’s trying to do way too much when he has the puck and I’m sure that 2nd round boogyman will be in his head tonight as he’s never advanced past this stage.

Hope it’s a fast paced game & I hope they get to 6 goals for reasons unrelated ??

 Yep..Avs money coming in as well as the over money. I still look at all the previous teams that were able to close it out, Tampa and Isles, and they showed up. Really tough game and I can see and appreciate people who goes either way. But my eyes tell me Vegas, Flower over Grub and home ice advantage. Should be a great game and I hope I can stay awake long enough to watch it.

More digging around. The Avs have scored 3 or more in only 3 of the last 10 vs Vegas and all 3 were in Denver. Meanwhile, the Knights have scored 3 or more in 6 of last 10, including 3 of last 4 games at home.

So in other words, if you feel the Knights then the tt is MONEY, but it'll cost your arse considerably. I am counting on a 2-1 or 3-2 Knights late and hoping for EN. Rambling after several beers.

5-2 is my pick.  I’ll settle for 4-2 though no need to be greedy. new_laugh_sweat

It's 1-1, but the eye test says knights. Avs are playing tight and scared so far.

Grubs made a big save on the breakaway.  Then his old buddy goal post showed up! Crazy action so far...

Can't believe I am typing this but I will be on the Habs in game 1 vs either of these two teams. I just think the physical energy they are putting into this series will show up in that game. Yeah, thinking too far ahead.

If the knights take the lead at any point this game's over

Game over. Avs look too mentally soft to come back and their body language looks beaten already. I would call a TO right now to make sure this game doesn't go 3-1.

@tenorbrett

 Disagree..there is more fight left in the Avs than the B's last night.

Big time 20 coming up for the Avs.  Vegas has been completely dominant on home ice in the middle frame lately

@GASportsDoc

 I hope so as I took the avs here, but for no other reason than it's elimination time and how hard it is to beat a team like that 4 straight times. Fluery is the superior goalie and can hold a lead, and the knights have more experience and confidence.
