So, question. What was the difference in what Gostisbehere did to Friedman any different than the Wilson incident? Didn't see it? Well, Friedman broke away on an empty netter, scored the goal and several seconds afterward, Ghost cross checks him into the boards. Just as flagrant. Where's the uproar? (https://pittsburghhockeynow.com/pittsburgh-penguins-shayne-gostisbehere-mark-friedman-hearing-nhl/.) Man, the Canes keep on rolling along. Onto tonight.
Hmmm...Vegas, better pick it up or you will have to face the Wild in the 1st round. Wild are 7-2-1 vs VGK's last 10, including 3-0 last 3. Vegas hasn't won in Minnesota since October 2018! But they escaped with 2 goals in 26 seconds the other night. I'll roll with VGK ML tonight. Jets/Flames. Do you dare take the Jets? Shhhh, don't tell Fab but I am. Jets are 5-3 this year vs Flames (2-2 record in Calgary). Jets have scored 3 or more in 5 of the 8 meetings. Caps/Rangers. I would say Rangers get revenge, but who's left for them to play? I can say the same about the Capitals. The last 3 meetings have flown over the total. Last 3 games, Capitals avg 4.33 GF vs Rangers 4.00 GF. Check Twitter for injury update and line-ups. Habs vs Pesky Sens. This is their 9th meeting of the year, currently 4 wins for both teams. Best thing I see, is the under is 8/2 last 10. Good luck. Bolts/Stars. Tampa is 8-1-1 last 10 but at this point, who wants it more. I think Tampa is satisfied with qualifying, know the big guns are coming back. Don't think they can catch the Canes at this point. Stars will be hungry as they still have a shot at making playoffs. Preds almost slipped the other night. Did they wake them up or will this be another nail bitter? Haven't looked at tt's yet, but if Preds tt is 2.5, I can tell you that in the 7 meetings this year, the Preds have scored 3 or more in 5 of them. Avs eyeing that #1 spot, 2 points back with a game in hand. It'll cost you and remember, the Sharks took them to OT the other night. Kings/Yotes - who cares.
What do you want to talk about?

GASportsdoc have not seen the play. I am going on how you described the play. Well if Gostisbehere cross checked him after the empty netter into the boards he should be fined or suspended thats just as bad if not worse than what Wilson did. If the Penguin player lets up and isn't aware of the cross check he could really be injured badly crashing into the boards. Thats a dangerous play. Hopefully the league acts and does something.

There's zero possible chance the Jets lose 8 in a row which means Calgary is probably the play. Looking at the games now but that was the first thought I had.

GASportsdoc I just watched it and first off what is Gostisbehere even thinking there. First off the puck is in the net. Second he has lots of time to realize the play is over. What I dont understand is why he even cross checks Friedman at all. He could have really injured him that far from the boards. The ref is right there as well. Thats a bad decision and very dangerous play. That is worse than what Wilson did. That has to be a suspension as far as I am concerned. No need for that cross check the puck is in the net. He had plenty of time to let up.

My thoughts exactly. My whole point is all the radio, Twitter and other outlets are up in the air with Wilson. Hell, even the woke Rangers organization is calling for the head of NHL safety. But where is the outage over this incident? Don't get me wrong, what Wilson did initially was cheap, but things like this happen very often. The point is, it's Wilson (now, he has brought this on himself)

What you are saying is true thou. GASportsdoc no one is making a big deal of the dangerous play by Gostisbehere. It should be a bigger story for players safety. How the media isn't saying it was a dirty dangerous play is beyond me. I am shocked Brian Burke hasn't come out and complain about the play he hates stuff like that. It has to be a story if you want to make a huge story about what Wilson did. I dont care about the name its what the name does. So to me every player has to be accountable not just Wilson.

GASportsdoc on to the games tonight. My first thoughts are some home teams. I kinda like the Sens Flames and Yotes. The Jets are a mess. The Sens are playing good hockey and the Yotes have to bounce back from Mondays lost hopefully. All 3 good odds.

Max Patch’s out for VGK just something to watch out for if you’re backing them, as far as the possible clinchers tonight crazy how none of them really feel like locks or parlay teams. If you ask me I’d guess the closest would be Nashville don’t think lightning strikes twice in Columbus for them to get goal production from someone like Bemstrom again. STL just been tricky to me all year, sometimes feels like they’re completely out of games then ROR can put the whole team on his back and carry the weight, I wouldn’t scoff at anyone saying they’re confident they’ll win but at that price they’re not really a team I’d like to wager on

GA love this thread every day but you seem to be showing anti- Ranger bias! Comparing a cross check to the back, I assume didn’t see it, to punching a guy with his head basically on the ice and throwing another guy to the ice with his helmet off is astonishing and Fukien ridiculous!!! Wilson should of got the shit beat out of him but again he Rangers never hav those type of guys!!! I don’t mean goons either but tough guy’s who have some skill I.e. Players on Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, etc. for years!!!
