So Jerry mortgages the future for a WR? When they clearly needed help in the secondary and O-Line. In summary, they're still not likely to make the playoffs this year and will get no help next year either.

With the addition of Roy Williams to the line up...it is going to be an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses...they will not have the ability to double anyone because they have dual threats on the outside...good slot WR's and a tight end that can stretch the field...look out NFL...this actually might make TO's ability to get open a hell of alot easier...because so far this season (besides this week) he is getting shut down!!!
The only problem i see...this offense will be able to score at ease (when romo get back) and it is going to cause this defense to be on the field more often than before....but hey, maybe they need more time on the field to work out some kinks in that def...
Personally, i think they got a player with great NFL potential...but they gave up a lot of picks that could of been of great importance for this defense in the next few seasons....but on the other hand..how are you going to stop them???

Pats won their SB's largely with defense. Their last SB winning team could move it pretty well. But how did the most prolific offense of all time do in the SB? They lost.

Roy Williams is just another TO in the making, he is an absolute piece of shit. Enjoy Dallas.
I wish we traded for Vince Young instead. I think VY is so overrated but with our OL we need a QB that can scramble and make stuff happen. Titans have no use for VY in their offense and they need a legit WR. I would think VY for Roy Williams and a mid round pick would be good for both teams.

Roy Williams will help take off double coverage against TO. You can not just double TO and leave Roy one on one cause he'll kill you. Then you got Jason Witten that run in the middle or somewhere. It's a good trade, Cowboys needed another top notch WR.

1) Roy Williams finally has a decent QB to get him the ball. Romo is a lot better than Harrington and Kitna.
2) Williams will be on his best behavior cause he's finally on a team that will make the playoffs and compete for a SB. And he probably be playing for a big contract extension in the future.
3) He better contribute cause Cowboys gave up way to much for this guy.

Roy is a TX native. I'm sure he'll play hard for the boys. Bottom line, it helps the O, but doesn't improve an avg D that most would say isn't strong enough to lead them to a Super Bowl win. Add the fact that TO acts like a jealous stalker when his QB starts looking for another receiver and I'd say this is a negative trade for the cowboys.....But, Jerry Jones is doing whatever he can to win a title this year, so he get top $$ from all of his people, tv ad revenue, sponsors, etc. when opening up the new stadium next year. So, I guess we find out if they can do with a dominate offense. In my opinion if they don't do it this year Jerry should step aside as GM and let someone else make those decisions while he relaxes and watching the team he owns and enjoys it. take al davis with you too.
