In the NFL you only play a limited number of games per season. This leads to being able to pick out the best and worst played games a lot easier. Buffallo played at home last week against a depleted Miami team. What happened? They ended up playing the poorest game they have played all year. Very lucky not to lose.
Today they play at home again against a step up in class opponent. I just do not think they will play like last week or even worse. It is easy to get caught up in what we all saw in any game the week before and make our play based on that performance. Yesterday we really only had the 2 visiting team's recent games to evaluate and make our plays. The 2 number 1 seeds had not played the week before. Today we have recent games to evaluate in both games.
I really like Buffallo -6. Good luck to all today.

Always nice to see someone have some actual sports-related reasons for betting on a game, rather than "the script" and "books want you to bet on the Bengals", etc.
I do agree with the mental/psychological aspect. I pointed out many times last week that it was a terrible sport for them emotionally and psychologically, and that they would have trouble sustaining their play for the full 4 quarters, and almost everyone (Mr. Bator, for example) said I was wrong. Likewise, this week, as I have pointed out, the Bills will be able to focus on football for the first time in 3 weeks. I think they'll put together a solid performance as well... my only reason for not betting them is that they are still an over-rated team with an over-rated QB, and that always means there is some value working against you.
One correction I have to make... the Bills 3 worst performances this year came in games 8, 9 and 10... losing to the Jets and Vikings, and then narrowly beating a terrible Browns team. Beating the Dolphins, even with a rookie 3rd string QB, doesn't carry a rating as low as those 3 games. It's not really relevant, because your point is still valid.
