Why do we need more minority coaches to be hired?

Many industries are looking for certain minimum standards to qualify that job applicant and that would be good enough to hire them.

I think you are thinking differently from the idea you are looking for the needle in the haystack, the exceptional employee that will go above and beyond, the up and comer, the next Warren Buffet.  That certainly is the case in some industries but many are not like that.  Many industries are just trying to fill a vacancy.  

Some people are discriminating and innocently don't even realize it.  For example, we got black bob and white larry but since I rather go to lunch with white larry and he reminds me of my son, I would rather hire him.  Yea, that's discrimination. 

That white dude on the Giants years back was good.  He was popular.  Forgot his name.  I think played with Strahan.

but it is that simple.  if we live in a free state, then the owners can hire whomever they want.  

I like a lot of talk forcing team to hire black coaches.  what's the logical argument behind this?  I don't hear any push for black punters, kickers, trainers, scouts, equipment managers, refs, coordinators, position coaches.....  

I'll take a Harbaugh knowing I will basically get 3 coaching minds for the price of one.

As for black kicker   no athletic black guy wants to be a kicker.  

Just because you don't 'hear' of a push for something doesn't mean there isn't.
