Week 8- Cleveland at Jacksonville ( -7 )

What you all think about this game?   
 
Two teams going in different directions?   
 
The Jags coming off the bye week and a big victory in Denver.   Should be ready to go for this one.
 
Cleveland back to their losing ways against Washington and playing their second road game in a row.
 
 
Good spot for the Jags but 7 seems like a pretty big number for them.         Cleveland just does not impress me.    They are a bad team and at 2-4 they might be tossing in the towel very soon.
 
 
I'm not making a pick.   Just want to discuss this game.

Well 2-4 is only one game worse than 3-3 which is what the Jags are so that probably wasn't a very smart comment about "tossing in the towel"

i'm not saying that the Browns are as good as everyone thought they might be...
 
 
But if the Pats lose tonight they are only 1 game out of a playoff spot....
 
 
As for this game the only advice I would give anyone is to stay away from it...not even the sharpest of the sharps can predict what this Browns team is going to do on a weekly basis...
 
They have a QB who can be a top 5 QB one week....and a bottom 5 QB the next....
 
Just stay away....better games to choose from next week anyway.

even if the Pats win they are still only a game out of the playoffs....
 
The Pats would sit 5th at 4 - 2....with a few other teams still at 3 - 3 for the 6th and final spot

I have to look at it a bit more, but seems a bit fishy that Clev was only catching 7 pts at Washington and I consider Washington a better team than Jacksonville right now.  Clev is 4-2 ATS (including 2-1 on the road) and Jack is 2-4 ATS (including 0-3 at home).  Curious to see Jack's record off a bye.  The points seem too tempting, so I wonder if this is the week we see a dominant performance from Jack at home?

Portis went for 175 yards rushing on Cleveland yesterday.      
 
 
The Jags should be able to run the ball in this game.  And their 3 victories have come against teams with crappy run defense.  Denver, Indy, and Houston  
 
But the only game they won by 7 points or more was the Denver game.

If the line was 3 or 4 the whole world would jump on Jacksonville...
This will ensure even action on both sides, i think the line is correct...
Agree with Greyhound...Jags will run all over these guys...easy win if you ask me

JAC with only losses to PITT BUFF and TENN is an impressive resume IMO, but CLEV in a kinda must win situation.

I think two much drama in CLEV with the pressure and Kellen Winslow thing going on that with JAC coming off bye they take this one easy my book is still at 6.5 were Im going to take action I suggest if yours is at 7 if you want to play this game it would be worth buying the 1/2 point.

CLEV I think will make late season surge but now just to much pressure with Anderson and Quinn also Coaching staff also staff infections galore.

I was on Washington last week and in no way did that score reflect how one sided the game actually was. Washington should have drilled them. The only positive of losing that game was we now get less than a TD to fade the Browns this week.

Browns rushing defense is awful and now we have a team that runs wild, at home off a bye against a Cleveland team on its second road game in a row having to fly all the way down there. I love the Jags this week.

Jacksonville hasn't been very good against the PASS this year but I'm not sure Cleveland is going to be able to take advantage of it.  
 
 
Derek Anderson has only completed 49 percent of his passes this year.    62 rating.    He's damn near the worst quarterback in the league only Matt Hasselback and Tyler Thigpen are worse statistically and they haven't been playing.  
 
Braylon Edwards drops every other ball thrown to him.   
 
Winslow has a health problem and an attitude problem.
 
 
 
I will really be surprised if Cleveland can win this game.    The only question is whether they can stay within a TD.

After watching Monday Night Football,  that JAGS win in Denver is not as impressive anymore.   
 
 
Denver is a pretender.    They have no defense and an offense that likes to make alot of mistakes and dumb plays.

I don't know about all this Jags hype. The way I see it, Cleveland played well in upsetting NYG. Coming off a Monday nighter and going on the road is difficult, especially against a good Defense like Washington's.
In fact Cleveland has played a tough schedule, with exception of Cincy.
This will be a close game.

Cleveland was at home and coming off a bye when they beat the Giants.    This week the Jags are at home and coming off the bye.   And Cleveland is no where near as good as the Giants.

 

Playing 2 road games in a row is also very difficult.

That sentence would be dead on either the way it is or if you took out the word "Denver" and added the word "Cleveland"

Kellen Winslow is suspended by the Browns for this game.   One less weapon for them.

I keep hearing how the Browns defense has gotten better. It may look that way because the Redskins and Giants have not taken advantage of opportunities but the stats don't lie when in the two games that people think the Browns defense has gotten better, they have given up whooping 724 totals yards in those two games and 193 and 181 rushing yards in each of those games for a pathetic 6.2 YPC! Improving defense...... And they magically are going to stop the Jags rushing attack?

Looks like a good play on the Browns.  I'd look for Cleveland to win SU so take the +7.  Good luck this week.

Way off topic with this one but had to comment on C-Mans avatar. Halloween was one of the best Horror movies of all time, I am so pissed that they remade such a classic into a piece of shit. Remakes usually blow and I'm even more pissed that i spent 9 bucks to go see that movie and I left a half an hour into it. it was so fucking bad.
