Hard to argue with those numbers as far as trends go.

Thank you so much, only thing that worries me is the trend with Jets is based on a Pennington team as apposed to wild card Favre who blew up week before bye.

the same premise that didn't  work for Detroit last week is working for the St louis Rams this week as bad teams in general play much better coming out of their bye-week ...

It also appears that Detroit will avert crossing another milestone of futility by not going against the spread a fifth consecutive time , having not lost ATS more than 4 consecutive times this decade ( in a single season )

Oakland @ New Orleans - 7 / -9
New York Giants - 7.5 / - 9 @ Cleveland
 
NFC flexes its muscles first over the AFC with a resounding victory by New Orleans over Oakland ( who incidentally is a bad team that did not play well coming out of their bye )
This franchise is in serious trouble .

These teams will be highlighted on next week's thread ( along with any others that apply )  for having lost by a close margin of <= 3 , next week :
Washington loses by 2 points
Chicago loses by 2 points
Detroit loses by 2 points
Miami loses by one point
 
Washington will be favored over Cleveland by 7 or so
Chicago will be favored over Minnesota by 3.5 to 4
Detroit will be a dog of around 7 to Houston
Miami will be favored over Baltimore by < 3
 
anyway, that's a quick look ...and only qualifier is a play against Detroit next week ...
in 2006 Dogs of >= 7  went 4-11 ATS ( 26.7 % ) after losing by <= 3 ( or in OT )  prior game
In 2007 Dogs of >= 7 went 1-11 ATS ( 8.3 % ) after losing by <= 3 ( or in OT ) prior game.
YTD >>
Oakl + 9 vs SD  lost 28-18 Lost ATS in week 4 ..so such Dogs are 0-1 ATS ....
This calls for a fade against Detroit , and a play on Houston
