I caught the last two minutes and was reminded of some things.
1) That last play when they had 14 seconds left, and Dak ran the ball up the middle, and no one knew to make sure the ref has a chance to place the ball, and time ran out. That was straight hilarious.
2) But prior to that there was a long “booth review” when Deebo got close to a first down. They looked at it for like a full five minutes, and ended up replacing the ball slightly back, which forced the Niners to punt. But what caught my attention was, during all that time, and it felt like a very long time, they kept showing three guys on the Cowboys – Dak, Zeke, and Coach McCarthy. What were the three of them doing during this time? They were all staring blankly onto the field. There was a good chance they were getting the ball back, so why weren’t they scheming up what they were going to do when they got it back? They were just staring blankly…for like a full five minutes. My point is, they were doing nothing to prepare themselves for their last series, and look what happened. They totally blew it on a now famous bonehead last play.
Just something to remember when deciding this game. The Cowboys COULD play their A game, and win, but it seems just as likely that they’ll do something stupid again and blow it. Personally, I think McCarthy is a bad coach, just like Jason Garrett was, and that’s how Jerrah likes it – having a dummy puppet coach – much to his demise.

Can you not see the possibility of them preparing even more now? Knowing exactly what to do if this happens again? No lean either way but this seems more like an advantage than a disadvantage for dallas.

if you watched the rest of that game, you would see it should have been a blowout. The niners were up 23-7 in the early 4th. Jimmy threw a bone headed pick and started missing easy throws(this was the game he hurt his shoulder that required offseason surgery, so I’ll give him a little slack). Boys also converted a fake punt. Game shouldn’t have even been close, but it definitely was hilarious the way it ended

Of course, they'll be more prepared for THAT kind of situation. But what else will they not be prepared for?? Endless things, it seems to me. Might point is, in that moment, they weren't preparing AT ALL. It looked strange to me. It reveals a general culture of being ill-prepared. Could you imagine someone like Belichick or Andy Reid or Tomlin just having his offense doing nothing for at least five minutes, right before they're gonna get the ball back on a potential game winning drive? McCarthy is kinda known for being a dummy, and seeing it play out like that just reassures that sentiment.
You could say my overall point is this coaching mismatch.
This isn't a huge deal, but in a matchup this close, in a big playoff game, coaching becomes even more of a factor to consider.

Agreed. 49ers were putting a beating on Dallas. Dallas didn’t really have an answer.

Personally I think they are both mental midgets and hurt their team often in big game clutch situations. Also think that this is an insult to actual midgets being compared to these two in any fashion. Will all that being said this is a game where I am going to wait and bet live. Either watching the flow of the game I will bet SF if I can get a cheaper price on the ML or Dallas if 9ers get a big lead. But will be based on how the game is going so I will try to pick my spot.

I'm not a McCarthy fan in particular, but all this hate for him has me befuddled. He has the best ats record of any coach, in the history of the nfl. I've heard a lot of people say "he had Aaron Rodgers all those years" when I bring up that ats stat. Well, 24-12 ats last 2 years. With Dak and others. The dude is a good coach.
He is a good coach. He isn't a great coach. He comes up short in big moments and has some real head scratchers at times. This was the knock on Andy Reid until Patrick Mahomes fell into his lap though I always placed his SB loss in Philly more at McNabb's feet than Reid's.

Almost the same exact scenario tonight, down 7 instead of 6, less than a minute.
1) TE doesn't know he's gotta be moving forward to stop the clock when going outta bounds (based on the context of this thread, I'd guess he wasn't coached on that).
2) TE fails put second foot down when it woulda been very easy to do so.
3) Ridiculous last play again, that gets your very expensive RB pummeled, and gets the pass catcher pummeled.
I'm just saying...the Cowboys get by on very talented guys like Ceedee, Zeke (old Zeke), Pollard, Dak (at times), Parsons, etc.. But they are ill-prepared at critical times..
Something to remember for next year when they get into the playoffs again..

i mean if you have Aaron Rodgers in his prime for a majority of your career, it’s kinda easy to have a good record. Having him and only getting1 ring is an indictment on McCarthy
