In the literal sense of the award.. most VALUABLE player...
AP wins it regardless of whether he makes the playoffs or breaks the record. Without AP. The vikings are probably in the running for the 1st pick next year. Their QB is terrible, and the recieving core is somewhat of a joke. Thank god their D is half decent when it wants to be.
I would also like to say, that Brady is ahead of Peyton in my mind, because New Englands D blows. You simply take out Brady, you cannot put Mallet in there and expect the same results.
As for Manning. He is a lock in my mind for Comeback player of the Year. You miss a whole season, you start off a bit shaky, and then become what we've known to marvel at for the last 10 weeks.
The only flaw for his MVP consideration... Denver is actually goood. They won a playoff game with Tim friggin Tebow last year. Peyton SHOULD BE leading this team to the playoffs, and for a deep run. But he isnt the most VALUABLE.

Tom Brady is the best QB of the last decade, no arguement. Brady is like 9-4 against Manning head to head. Brady has a better TD to INT ratio than Manning. More AFC Championships than manning, MORE SUPER BOWLS than Manning. Oh yeah not to mention Number 1 all time winning percentage. The only thing Manning has on Brady is that he has more yards and a slightly better completion percentage. Brady is a better QB than Manning and I will take Brady any day.
Manning will lose if they play the Patriots in the playoffs.
