The NFL season is long, with teams facing and having to overcome all kinds of challenges, from injuries, to on-field failure, to team chemistry, to firings, to personal or individual matters. No matter how difficult the the journey, how large the obstacles, like life, the NFL season sometimes presents you with second chances. As human beings we learn to embrace, take advantage or make the most out of such opportunities because they are so rare and precious. It’s no different for an NFL team or organization.
Two teams with the opportunity to turn their seasons around after a bye week to lick their wounds and contemplate the task before them are the Kansas City Chiefs and the Dallas Cowboys. Of course, the Cowboys have not only had to deal with their on-field trials and tribulations but also the tragedy that befell the team on their week off: the tragic suicide of Marshawn Kneeland. And this at a time when the team was investing in getting reinforcements for their much maligned defense to save their season. How ironic. The last time we saw the Cowboys, they were getting their behinds handed to them at home in embarrassing fashion on Monday night football against the Cardinals. The next time we see them they will have an opportunity to redeem themselves, try to save their season, and honor the death of a teammate on Monday night football with their much needed reinforcements on defense.
Last we saw the Chiefs they were losing their 5th straight regular season game to an overrated Bills team after having won three in a row to climb back into the playoff race. Now, after a week off, they get a second chance to take on another overrated, hyped team in their own division. The Denver Broncos have won 6 games in a row despite playing some awful football and miraculously sit atop a very competitive AFC West. I expect the Chiefs to make a big statement come Sunday by humbling the Broncos and putting them in their place to start the second half of their season.
Chiefs ML + Cowboys ML 1 unit to win 1.4 units

BB I love Dallas here vs a discombobulated Raiders team with a washed up head coach, going no where.
I don’t think you really need to risk a parlay here? I love Dallas straight up to cover the short line -3
If you’re not comfortable laying 3.5 with KC @ Denver, then it sounds like you expect a close game down to the wire at mile high. Crazy things happen in Denver. Goodluck

Hey BB, I read the available information on the death of Kneeland and still can figure out what drove him to shoot himself? There are some big missing pieces and yes, it is tragic and I feel bad for those who were a part of his life. I recently (days ago) had someone die that was a part of my life from a brain aneurysm and she was only 27. Went into the emergency on Saturday and was dead Tuesday. I agree that KC will make a move, it is now or never. The Ravens have, and are only one game back of loserville in Western Pennsylvania. Looking very much like the Steelers won't even make the playoffs. I would not bet confederate money on Dallas but am certain you know what you are doing. BOL!!!

To be honest, I don’t expect a close game in Denver. I just don’t bet spreads, unless I’m getting points or I can buy the line down to -1. I know that means I have to hit a higher percentage of my ml bets to win, but I’m more comfortable with that than hoping my team wins and covers.
