That field was crap...........20+ years ago you may have seen a couple of fields in muddy/lousy shape but there's no excuse for it these days. If their grounds crew isn't capable of keeping up grass then they should just fire them or go to field turf.

Obviously you don't watch a lot of football. If you would've kept reading, you would see that I noted that there were 3 injuries throughout the game that were caused without any contact at all. Also, AP tore his ACL on the same exact field last year. This isn't a coincidence. The field is a joke and they should be fined for keeping it that way. Seattle has already filed a complaint about it. Don't blame them one bit.

I find it funny that the league is preaching player safety but then they allow players to go out and play a game on a field like that -- in a playoff game no less. Sense the hypocrisy here?

Nice write-up L-Jay, as well as reply's throughout. Hawk Homer here. Finally pulled the trigger against Skin's as we were just the all round better team overall. Worried about the loss of Clemons and most definitely worried about ATL home record over the last few plus yr's (30 something & 6 ?. I'm sure you;ll know) Want to pull the trigger again (why is ATL only favored by 1, after comin down from 2.5 in some places ?), but am definitely worried about it. They are so young and ATL has a lot of experience in key position's. Can Carroll really get them prepared enough for this ? Thought's ?

I'm not saying this is gonna be an easy game by any means but I think this match up favors Seattle more, so I think they walk away with the win. Yes, ATL does have a good amount of playoff experience but what have they done in their last 3 playoff appearances under Mike Smith & Matt Ryan? Let's see.. a 24-30 loss to Arizona, a 21-48 rout by the Packers and a 2-24 thumping by the Giants last year. They just don't scare me. In the regular season I would be more worried but not in a playoff scenario. I definitely think Petey will have the boys ready to play. All the players believe in what Pete is doing. You can tell because they are the 3rd youngest team in the league and look how poised they look and how well they play. In my opinion, Pete should be up for coach of the year. The things that he's doing in the Pacific Northwest are incredible and are going unnoticed. People forget that when Pete took over the team 3 years ago, this team was in shambles and were 4-12. Both Pete and GM John Schneider turned this team into Superbowl contenders so quickly. This team is just so young and talented that they will be very good for years to come. People may make fun of Pete for his "rah-rah" coaching style but clearly the players believe in him. This team will be focused, don't worry.

Last Year IN Seattle,,,Julio went for 127yds on 11 catches (17 targets) Roddy White had 78yds on 6 catches (11 targets) and Tony Gonzalez had 56yds yards on 7 catches (9 targets)......Falcons had the ball for 40 minutes ..Seahawks 20 minutes.
I know its not last year, but it looks like the Falcons had some success in the last meeting.

True. Deciding to go with Russell Wilson after paying Flynn a lot of moolah was a decision not many, if any, NFL head coaches would make. The downside was anticipated to be so much greater than the upside when Carroll made that call, it's easy to forget how prescient a decision it truly was. No coach made a more gutsy, non injury motivated, personnel call all season.

I realize they had their way with them last year but like you said, that was last year. This team is so young and grows with every single game they play. Richard Sherman didn't even play in that game and wasn't even a starter back then and Brandon Browner was only playing in his 4th NFL game since returning from the CFL. You honestly can't base it off last year. This team has grown and the D has made a lot of changes since then.

Very true. Like I said, it goes unnoticed because Seattle is located all the way in the corner of the U.S. Pete trusted his gut and it was clearly the right decision. Russell Wilson is something special and it will be a treat to watch him the rest of his career.

Richard Sherman did play in that game. It was also Julio's 4th career game and the Falcons were working with a shitty offensive coordinator in Mike Mularkey. Their offense is completely different this year and the screen game has really helped the offense.

Throughout the season I listened to countless radio shows, interviews, etc...all relating to the Seahawks.
This team has an immense amount of confidence and it would not surprise me if they got the W this weekend.
Plenty of $ is going to be on ATL...but the linesmakers knows that if Seattle can win that they will cash in big.
if you consider an everydown DE that can rush the passer and stop the run, leads the team in sacks and i believe TFL big, then yes.
im pretty sure money will be coming in on seattle, the HOT team against a team that cant win in the playoff....at least the majority of this forum as of now.
