That's where we stand through ten weeks...9-1 straight up and 8-2 against the spread.
What's ahead:
Sunday: NYG at Arizona
November 30: NYG at Washington
December 7: Philadelphia at NYG
December 14: NYG at Dallas
December 21: Carolina at NYG
December 28: NYG at Minnesota
No rest for the weary! Can the Giants keep their straight up and ATS streak going against THAT tough a schedule. That's nothing but playoff contenders as we speak. In fact, the three non-divisional games are all in first place in their divisions right now! Minnesota may fall off the pace by the season finale. They also might have wrapped up the NFC North. Who knows?
Four road games. Six playoff contenders. Three revenge games within the division. Who wants to bet the Giants don't finish 15-1 straight up and 14-2 ATS?
Personally, I expect them to slow down some. I know sportsbook operators are praying for them to slow down. The public has made a fortune on the Giants so far, and will keep betting them. The toughness of the schedule guarantees the prices will be affordable too. If the Giants keep playing well, there's not much the sportsbooks can do to defend themselves. You can't make New York -10 on the road at Arizona or at home against Carolina. You can't make them -8 at Washington or Dallas.
Whatever you do, I would tread very carefully here. If you've been cleaning up on the Giants, don't be shocked if they cool off a bit. There's no prize for being the best team at Thanksgiving. They need to save something for the playoffs. Killing yourselves against a brutal schedule might make it very difficult to win when it really matters in January. That being said, I wouldn't load up against the Giants until they started showing some vulnerability. It's going to take Eli Manning turnovers to beat them based on how the games are playing out. Make sure you see that coming before taking any flyers on Giants opponents.
