Pitt vs. Balt Discussion Thread

Lets put out our best angle on this one...here are my thoughts. With Big Ben out it looks like an obvious pick on Balt rt? Not so fast IMO. Steelers still have a great run game and a above avg D even w/out Polu. Here is my take. The HOOK is huge here. I see Pitt making this a field position game and dink and dunk. Shots down the field by Pitt will be limited. They will conserve clock, very conservative Offense and let Mendenhall go to town. I see Balt trying to rush the passer and Dixon will be in a dink and dunk. I think it comes down to coaching, advantage Steelers. If this line was 6.5 I would walk the fk away. with that full TD I like the Steelers. Criticism is well welcomed boys! Rush you da man on the Chargers First Half!!!!!

Baltimore @ Home and the Steelers without Big Ben AND Polamalu tells me the Ravens win..... by how many thats debatable... we really have no idea what to expect out of their 3rd string QB but you cant expect much with the steelers offensive line struggling the Ravens will get to him and unlike big ben he wont be able to prolong plays which is the #1 reason why the steelers ever beat the ravens.

Yea im takign Steelers. Just think of it like this, when was the last time Steelers were favored to lose like this? Takes alot of the pressure off of a team in my opinion

Add the Fact Baltimore is horrible in the red zone lately. That 7.5 will come into effect.

Honestly I know when to bet against the Ravens and I have never wagered on the Ravens when they played the Steelers but I do feel the Ravens win by DD tonight.

I know Vegas is thinking, "damn when have we EVER given Pitt over a  TD?  Dixon has a lot of weight on his shoulders, that is why I still think it comes down to coaching.  The playbook wont be wide open but so what.  Pola out is a  factor that concerns me but Flacco has been, well "wacco" of late.  I am thinking betting Pitt straight and Tease Balt down and under (wakko 4 flakko...looks solid huh?  This is screaming for a middle).

Intriguing game to say the least, and a lot of possibilities for sure. Dixon has a strong arm, and he can run also. He was a sucsess at Oregon and could do well tonight. I see a few good plays in this game.

1. I like the Steelers over the 13.5, hell you could get 7 on a turnover or special teams play.

2. I like the over in the game 35. If Dixon can not handle the pressure, the Baltimore defense can cause all sorts of turnovers, leading to points.
