Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Eagles released linebacker Matt McCoy and promoted linebacker Akeem Jordan from the practice squad on Monday.
McCoy, a second-round draft pick by the Eagles two years ago, started 10 games last season, recording 81 tackles and two sacks. He then suffered a shoulder injury and was eventually replaced by Omar Gaither.
McCoy also played sparingly on special teams this season, with seven tackles in five games.
Jordan, a former standout at James Madison University, was signed as a rookie free agent following the 2007 draft.
Andy, stick to coaching and let's hire us a real GM.

I guess I'm sorry and glad, all at once, to hear about your dog. First, the fact it happened, I'm sorry. But, I'm glad that it appears as if he'll be okay. I've heard of a bug that is present in "murky" waters that goes into a person's nose and can cause problems (including death). But, I am only aware of that on humans.
Dogs become such a part of the family. They're like having children . . . . well sort of.
Anyway, glad to hear your dog is doing better.
I disagree with Green Bay. I like Denver @ home on MNF. I definitely don't like taking NFC teams on the road against AFC teams. I think Denver should be hungrier for this game too as they must keep pace with the Bolts who won again and seem to be back.

knuckles - Got a weird phone call today from some guy named Lou. He said that some internet site was destroying his book because some shithead that claimed to be connected was giving out winners to all of his squares. Said the guy claimed to be able to communicate with the underworld, meaning all the dead ones, and was picking games like a fat man picks his ass...SLOW and ACCURRATE. Asked me if I knew anything about it, because he knows that me and joey are tight and talk almost daily. I told him that I would look into it and get back at him. I went down to Morendinni's on 5th and Arch and asked my boyz have they ever heard of such a thing? They said yeah, but weren't sure about it. They told me to go see Vincent Paggliano at the Golden Nugget in Glenolden. I goes ver there and speak with Vinny and he say's he knew all about it. Said some guy by the name of knuckles was connected with the Chicago family and was giving out winners for free to try and dent the Philly family! I talked with Joey and he said ain't no way that's happening, but I am not so sure. Is it you knuckles? Are you denting my friends wallet? Ease up bro, he's in the house and needs the money for his mom. She ain't right without the cash, know what I mean? Now I don't feel right because we both got GB and OVER and I feel like I am violating the trust of my man Joey! Keep low my friend, they are watching! I got your back because I told Joey ain't happening and he is agreeing with me for now. Vinny got to be kept quiet though, know what I mean.

Rickerbockers - Thanks bro. I can see how you feel that way for the Broncos, but I just don't feel as if they are the Brocos we are used to seeing. Favre could potentially tear them up tonight even though historically he has not done that at mile high. Brocos seem to do their most damage when they have their running attack going and I do not see that happening tonight. Also, I am not sold on Cutler's ability to win a game on his own.
