My guess on the super bowl line movement, some history....

Sports betting is my favorite thing but some of you guys just seem to be sucking the fun out of it. I love discussing some details but I HATE when some dicks always try to feel superior.

Did you ever consider the betting public consists of casual bettors like most of us here? What else would the public go on other than what they just saw in the games or watching ESPN? Not everyone has Donnie Ducks Lips from Reno giving them the inside scoop. Coming in here to discuss if the SuperBowl shoulda opened at 4.5 or 5 is so silly.

I love reading guys who claim to be professional gamblers with six figures in their betting accounts telling it like they have inside info & calling everyone who disagrees with them a moron. Thats pretty childish and to me a pro gambler wouldn't give a shit about posting in a covers forum which is why I'm here.

It doesn't matter who faced which QB in the regular season cause you can go back & forth all day with that type  of arguement. So  what if the Saints faced better QBs than the Colts? The Saints lost to Tampa Bay at home!! Does that have any impact on this game; of course not.

Just take the game for what it  is--the  here & now. Manning is the better QB and has been there before. Brees was throwing cheeseburgers to Henderson in the 4th qtr.

I don't get how betting on the Colts is a moronic play. Betting on the best team!?!? That BONANAS! I'm taking the Colts -4, -5, -6, -7 and I'ma put some on the money line. If they lose big deal, I'll be checking the lines the next day.

Exactly, I wasn't trying to make a case for the Colts by any means. I will try to avoid the side in this game because their just is no value at all.

You missed the whole point of this entire thread.

The Cardinals, the Giants, and the Panthers were all receiving 7 points or. more in those Super Bowls.

7 or more points in those game are very valuable in my eyes. 

Getting less than 7 on gameday with the wishy washy Saints against arguably the greatest QB in our lifetime is not  value in my opinion.

when it comes to info about gambling, lines, odds, math, stats, websites, taxes, etc...vanzack is a great source of knowledge.

when it comes to actually picking winners, hes downright horrible.

if you go with that theory when reading his threads, youll be fine.

Yep.  And on the flip side, don't take into account the Saints played Favre and Warner, while the Colts played Flacco and Sanchez

I think the line should be Colts at a heavy 3 or light 3.5.

I think the line is so high ONLY because this is a SB, and the amount of public money involved, and ONLY because of the saints display against the vikes.  If the saints looked good today, the line would be 3 - but since every moron with a TV and a beer saw the Saints stink it up today - the line will be 6.

My whole point was that you can't even pick a side and defend it. You clearly stated that you don't like Colts or Saints. So It was weird that you opened a thread because you think the line opened too high at -4 instead of "a heavy 3 or light 3.5". Really? That bugged you?

If you're not saying you think the line too high so you should the Saints or whatever then what helpful info are you bringing to the table? You think the line is off in the Saints favor but not enough to warrant a bet on them? Doesn't make much sense.

It just seemed like the whole point of this thread was so you can exclaim that you think the line is off. You still don't know who to bet on yet those who are betting on the Colts on the opening line can be summarized as "every moron with a TV and a beer saw the Saints stink it up."

Also the line opened at -4 and has climbed up to -6 which you stated correctly. Then you said it will go back to -4, so whats the point of waiting for it to go back down if it ever does?

The Super Bowl line opened too high at Colts. -4.5. So if you bet the Colts now you're not getting good value.
