week 2 is wraping up with this contest ...
A look back at Sunday shows that the Dogs ( as I suspected ) would bark loud and bark they did to the tune of
3 Favorites
11 Underdogs
1 push
this puts the numbers @ 12 favs / 17 dogs / 2 push through 2 weeks going into MNF
 
as for the O/U #'s we got
8 Overs
6 Unders
1 push
this puts the numbers @ 13 Overs / 17 unders / 2 push through 2 weeks going into MNF

I considered playing every single underdog on the board
Sunday ...
as i stated on the Trends & things thread ..
I considered this week an unusually strong week for the Dogs ....
 
But I ended up with 4 dog picks ...3 of which hit ...and one
which I regret to say the least ....
..
However , we're moving on ...
and my selection for monday has nothing to do with trends , and everything to do with the matchup.
 
Even though not a  single  divisional matchup on sunday resulted in the Favorite covering , I do think this one will be different .
 
After losing my last pick ( and POW ) on Sunday I will not risk much here ...and ensure another winning weekend .
 
Still riding a very hot hand on MNF having hit 16 of the last 18 MNF selections during regular season ...
As for this year I am 1-0
 
Enough about that ....

As it turns out ...the trend of Underdogs for the week continued ...
The Dogs go an amazing 12-3-1 ATS on week 2
 
The trend of dogs covering ATS in divisional matchups made it a perfect 5-0 . This should have been one of my ...if it ain't broke , don't fix it deals....
 
I  forced a play with this selection as I made it pretty much last minute ....and only because it was MNF .
Bad choice , wrong choice .
Another lesson to be learned .
 
On the plus side , money management is what I most want to exercise this year and will continue to do so .
 
 ...Washington outplayed Philadelphia with its defense , and steady play by Jason Campbell.
This was in contrast with the still rusty and inaccurate Donovan Mcnabb and the inability of his receivers to get open . Red Zone offense for the Eagles proved futile and it was their undoing .
 
Washington could find itself with 3 wins as the NY Giants come to town. Though against the G-men they will be facing a much better offense than either of the two teams the Redskins faced thus far.
 
I will probably be back on THU with a new version of the Trends & Things thread that was the highlight and saviour for the week.
