The Pats are THAT good. They are the most dominant team in the NFL. Their is a reason why they are a 7 point favorite on the road, on MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, against a slightly above average team in Cincy. No other team besides maybe the Colts would have this spread in this scenario. 7 points is a lot of chalk to lay in a spot like this, and after tonight, oddsmakers will not make the mistake of keeping the spread low with New England. Ill take New England by 7 any day of the week against ANY team in the NFL.

glennszy - As I have said numerous times, you may very well be right and I may very well be wrong. That is why they play the game. If you are right I will say "Congratulations friend" and get on with my life, if I am right I will say thankyou Patriots and get on with my life. In this game tonight I see it one way and you see it another, no problem. However, I feel that it is going out on a limb to say that "parity" will come into play here, as there is none. Cincinatti has 2 reveivers and a QB. No running game tonight and no 3rd receiver. this is not the Raven team that turned it over 5 times that they are playing tonight. I would also argue that new england is better than Seattle and Cleveland and don't think I would have many argue the other way. On your side, I will concede that Cincinatti is better than Buffalo, and better than the Jets. I don't know if I would say they are better than san diego despite their coaching woes out west. Nonetheless, Patriots are my play and I wish you luck with yours. ||clover.gif' border=0>||Peace_5.gif' border=0> PS: No stars in my eyes friend, only tears because I am an EAGLES fan and we know whats happening with them.

Great post PIDI. Totally agree and that is also the reason I hesitate on the over. ONce the Pats get up by 14 to 18, they start ball control and THEY can CONTROL the ball AND the clock.!!!!

glennszy - no doubt the growing parity has put a hurtin on alot of fav bettors the past couple years, but there's parity & then there's parity. NE doesn't have to be an 'ol Cowpokes or 49'er team of the 80's (or even themselves in their glory days a few years back) to easily cover the spread against this Cincy team. Think Belichik feels this team could be his best ever (maybe not quite as good a D, but better on O) when Harrison & Seymour get back, but even without 'em, he's ready to showcase 'em to the country tonite. Well....... "Cinci offence is a little skewed however as they were able to put 45 up against Cleveland in a totally defensless game." I look and........ NE put up points on NY Jets and Buff with no starting QB. San D is about unsync on off as N.O. Close game I will take the points. PS I have been wrong on ever Monday night thus far. BentleyWins - I see where you are going there, but what I was saying is that the Cle/Cin game was a shootout pure and simple with no defense on either side of the ball. The fact that against Seattle and Baltimore the Bengals only put up 21 and 27 I beleive is more reflective of their actual offensive ability. The Patriots on the other hand have put up 38-38-38 and yes San Diego, Buffalo, and the Jets are not gonna win Defense of the Year anytime soon, but it is the consistency of the Patriot offense that i was pointing out.||clover.gif' border=0>||Peace_5.gif' border=0>

PIDI i have a reason that Cincy will win tonight......Maybe cincy's been playing under their potential and NE been playin up to their potential. Flip flop that tonight, say NE has a rough start and can't recover. To me no team is ever unbeatable...Cincy is not a bad team and they are getting more than a touchdown at home. Gl though i'm on cincy small. (%of Public on NE and line not moving to show that, good night to fade public)

tmadeR7 - I was a wussy about it although I liked 'em all day. i played 'em Alt-RL +2.5 at (-220) for a nickel. looks great now but it's only one inning! How have you been my friend, long time no see.

PIDI, spend most of my computer time over at the RX, but do check a couple of people's thoughts here, yours included. Really thought the Rocks would win outright, but the 2+ should come in nicely. Know it's early, but they beat Peavy last outing and Fogg won his last against SD. GL my friend. ~T~
