But I would definitely not hedge this bet if I were you. You are getting IND ML at +1400... why would you step all over it? If you feel that you absolutely must I would suggest taking NO + the points and try to middle.
YES do NOT take NO ML. Take NO + the points but wait until closer to game time as you might get +6 or better. INDY does NOT lose this game. If they do it will be even shadier then last night. INDY I figured would destroy either MIN or NO but after seeing what MIN did to the NO secondary INDY just has to be licking their lips for this matchup.

Dynamicz: Normally I'd say don't hedge and let it ride until last night happened to me. At the beginning of the season I bet Vikes to win NFC at 10:1. Last night I said to myself,"well here it is, your chance to hedge." Decided to let it ride since I didn't want a single ounce of me to root for Saints. Then they win and I'm kicking myself for not hedging some to guarantee a profit. So now I say definitely hedge the Saints moneyline for 2 units to guarantee a profit. GL man

now you have $300 to win $4200 (sweet bet by the way)...
Most would tell you that hedging is like taking insurance in BJ and its a bad idea....
I'm not saying they are wrong, but it doesnt have to be all or nothing.....
Why would you not at least guarantee yourself of breaking even in the worst case scenario? (bet $175 on the Saints ML)
You have a rare and great chance to win big with little risk.
If I were you, I would wait and see if the line goes to 6 or 6.5 (if at 6.5 i'd by the hook)....
Then I would put $1200 on the Saint + the points....
By hedging, you win $900 with a Saints SU win , you win $3000 with a colts win and cover or you win $5400 with a colts win but no cover.....OR
By not hedging, you lose $300 or win $4200
So if the colts win and cover your odds are going from +1400 to +1000 ...thats not to shabby considering it takes the possiblity of losing anything outof the picture while at the same time increases what you can win in a given scenario.

Stop kicking yourself. You made the right decision and youre only pissed because you happened to lose.
As I see it you had the opportunity to play MIN ML +1000 while others were only getting +170 or so. And because the vikings were not favored you didn't even have the opportunity to do what dynamicz has the option to do, which is middle, as train69 illustrated.

I'm lucky enough to be in the same boat , bet in september . $100 on Colts to win SB at 15/1 and another $25 at 12/1 . If I do nothing and they win I net $1800 . I think I will hedge $400 on Saints ML +175 to guarantee a decent hit . I'm a huge Colts fan , by hedging I will be able to relax and enjoy the game .

No I am not pouting or talking $hit. I am just speaking the truth. If you don't think that the OT ending was shady then you are crazy. But Saints won and congrats. MIN put themselves in that position to allow those horrible calls at the end. But that doesn't mean I didn't LOVE INDY against either NO or MIN. Manning will not get touched and will torch the NO secondary. Why do you think the line moved from -3.5 to -6 already? Sure anything can happen but the NO biggest weakness happens to be INDY's biggest strength. Therefore, my point is unless there is some really shady $hit going on (even worst than yesterday) INDY wins easily. You would think they could also cover the spread up to 7 but if you want to hedge take the points and not the ML. BOL!

Train, I like your thinking here and im not sure what direction im going to go in yet, but if I do hedge, it wouldn't be a full hedge as I still have great faith in my team to win this...strongly believe it's the colts SB to lose.
The more I been thinking about it lately, the stronger I feel the Colts will take this so as of right now, I'm leaning to hedge to only cover my investment, but I still got two weeks to decide so we'll see.

thanks for all the advice here guys
