I'm going to just throw this out there.....Favre's winning percentage in domes is like 32%

look you douchebags... if someone wants to play football after saying they don't, that is their right... PERIOD!

it does not effect you... you are a tool if you are getting worked up about this... GB was busch league babies the way they handled it... if they didn't want him on their team, they should have released him... and if you argue "releasing you best player" isn't easy... then you admitting he is their best player, and there shouldn't have been an issue...

it's all bullshit...

The ironic thing about Favre going to the Vikings is that if I'm not mistaken he had a terrible record playing in that dome or any dome game. But of course playing as the visiting team in a dome game can get really loud while you are on offense. Maybe he will play a lot better now that the crowd will be on his side. Well I guess I need to throw out that Minny dome trend stat this season.
 
Anyway enough about Favre I do wish him and the Vikings well this season.
 
It's almost that time again so I wish all of you good luck on football this season

Like I stated I don't think that counts now that Favre plays for the Vikings instead of playing against them in the dome. The dome fans can make it really loud for the visiting teams offense in the dome. I could be wrong and that dome trend continues for Favre but I wouldn't use it myself this season.

granted farve is a turnover machine but he has the best rb in football behind him. 2 he has a rookie percy harvin who is going to be a wildcat deamon and some pretty good recivers. so he probly wont throw as many ints and his td passes will be down but a ball control offense and a helluva defense will make things interesing in a 3 weeks into the season when is comfortable with everything.

Actually yes they did,and he orignally scoffed at the idea, I get worked up when someone calls my allgeance to my team into question when its that person that screwed the team in the first place,he's got alot of front saying it. GB looked like genuises Aaaron was one of the top QB's in the league last year when everyone was questioning sticking by him the guy came through with flying colours.

i CAN (somewhat) understand Packers fans having a chip... but i'd say most of the haters are not Packers fans...
 
and i also don't disagree that GB made the right move choosing to start the Aaron Rodgers era... don't disagree at all!  but if they wanted to make that decision, they still had no business trying to hold him hostage and not let him go to whatever fucking team he wanted to go to...

this is why i say GB was babies...
 
if my team has 2 QBs, and they decide they are gonna start a new era, but at the same time say they are AFRAID of letting the other guy go to their rival... that would piss me off!  i don't ever want to see my team say they are afraid of sending a guy they don't even want on their team, to a team in their division...
 
my take on what GB should have done... "Favre, you want to go to the Vikings?  Sure!  What the fuck do we care!?"
 
a team that does that i can respect... send the message that you have no fear of any team in the league, or any player on any team in the league... don't sit there and say, "well, he's not good enough to play for us, but just in case, we shouldn't let him play for that other team..."

So lets assume an organization is hiring a new manager and four candidates are in the process for the job.  To make it relevant lets assume the candidates are:
 
1.  Joey$$Moneyline - young guy, has an attitude, not respected by many.
2.  NewYorkEddie - immature, no-one wants to see him get the job
3.  Toronto Joey - respected by everyone in the organization, leadership, good interpersonal skills, has all the skills, ability and knowledge.  Hands down the selection.
4.  Vanzack - same competencies as Joey but has a yacht and the crew are hot and willing to please.
 
For some reason, beyond understanding, Eddie gets the job.  Is it his fault he got the job....or the dimwits at the organization that hired him.  The answer is obvious.  Likewise....is this Favre's fault or the people making the decisions.

wow, why do people get so pissed off about Brett wanting to play football?  Who cares if he keeps going back and forth. What does that have to do with you fans out there?  I can understand teammates being upset, guys who actually depend on that position, but fans? 
 
Whats annoying are the people who say they are sick and tired of the Brett Favre drama. Who gives a shit if he's coming back!!! Did he take a job from you? If no, then fuck it! Sage Rosenfels and Tavaris Jackson should be pissed, not John Doe in Iowa.

I think the reason they didnt want to let him go so easy was because they didnt want a North Division rival like Chicago or Minnesota to get him for nothing, I really do believe he wanted to go play for Minnesota and never intended to come back to GB.

So what about the two or three off-seasons in a row where he was all like "Maybe I'll be back.. but maybe I won't... but maybe I will"? Doesn't that kind of waffling place a strain on your organization? Didn't he just do the exact same thing to the Vikings?

Like Thomas Jones said: "If somebody is not playing well, they need to come out of the game ... You're jeopardizing the whole team because you're having a bad day. To me, that's not fair to everybody else. You're not the only one on the team."

Brett Favre only cares about cares Brett Favre (why not leave the Vikings some financial flexibility if it's all about "the love of the game"?), so don't give me this BS about how the Packers did him wrong...

DFlyers... i understand that is what they were thinking, but let's not forget... they sent him to the Jets for LESS than what Minnesota was offering... this was well-documented... the Vikings weren't giving him "nothing"...

so it goes back to my point... as a fan, i don't ever want to feel like my team is saying, "we are afraid of our rival if they get our backup QB"... that is just a fucked statement to send to your fan-base...
