No way in hell do the Saints not cover this much less lose outright..They remember not being focused last yr. And that won't happen at home this  time.Plus look what the Packers 2nd stringers did to the Lions last week puttn up 45 on that swiss cheese Detroit defense.Saints bigtime in this one..48-20

You bashers are all funny..You have your reasoning and I have mine..Detriot will easily cover this game and possibily win outright..plain and simple..I would say 75% of gamblers are looking what New Orleans has been doing..Yes they have been blowing everyone out..But Playoffs are starting and all teams are 0-0 again..Being a pats fan and witnessing a 14 dog win the superbowl outright with the Giants a couple years back..The same convo is taking place" How are the Saints Going to lose" Just like the pats versus the giants--As the saying goes "Thats why they play the game"

And for the doubters who were wondering about my bet--I had the early line @ +10--was about to lay the play and within the first half hour it was 10.5 and an hour later it was up to 11 so I decided to hold off which is the best thing I could have done!

I am going to up my wager to 11500 to win 10000 as I got lions +11--I like it right there..I am putting 1000 ml +500 to win 500 and Just layed 500 @ +5250 for the lions to win the superbowl paying a whopping 26250...

I am so excited--Cant wait till Saturday Night--Go Lions!!!

Can't believe the Lions are more than double now (+8500) to win the Superbowl than they were when I took them in mid-August (+4100).  

 

Might have to throw some on Atlanta as well.

Det on the road only averages 3.6 rush yards per carry compared to 5 at home

Det rush defense on the road is 5.4 yards per attempt allowed compared to 4.6 at home

Det Red Zone TD Scoring % on the road is only 55.17% this is compared to a whopping 72% at home

Det is the 3rd most penalised team in the league, very undisciplined

Now they are coming up the team that uses the home advantage the best effect out of anyone

NO has the second highest yards per pass attempt at home behind GB

NO has the HIGHEST yards per rush attempt at home of any team (5.8)

NO has the 4th highest Red Zone TD Scoring % at home 69.77% compared to Det 55.17% on the road

NO at home has the 4th lowest interceptions thrown per pass %

You will lose whatever you put on the ML, don't try to be a magician, the saints will win SU, but no sharp will ever opt to lay double digits on a play-off game, The saints win this game, the question is just obvious... will they cover? who knows my friend, who knows. Right now my book is offering +11.5 thats another mistake you made, to jump too soon all over an underdog, I'm gonna wait until game-time hoping for something closer to two touchdowns and then I'll pull the trigger on the lions just hoping that the saints will not cover such large playoff pointspread, the outright is totally out of the question, but the spread? Lions or no play.

Primetimeboys the perception of both teams are spot on. It's your and Quineten's perception that is out of whack. I don't think the Lions have any chance to win this ML. The interesting thing about this game is the line which has been pitched perfectly. Quinten is a moron for taking Detroit -10, considering most books are up to 11 and will probably continue to go upwards you have moved way to early here..

I will only move on this game if I get less then -10 game in running. Detroit can put up points so a couple of garbage time TD's and they could easily get a disgusting back door cover. There is no more sickening feeling and there is no way I will take the line as it is now. That is wreckless...

So your analysis for taking Detroit is:

1. All teams are 0-0 come playoff time
2. Any given Sunday
3. If the Giants can beat the Pats in 2007, why can't Detroit do the same?

Wow!

You think this Lions team is similar or can be compared to the 2007
New York Giants? because that's what you are essentially saying when you cite the Giants upset of the Pats.

Detroit is one of the DUMBEST teams in football, only Oakland is dumber; the Giants were smarter and had a awesome defense something Detroit doesn't have.

kevin smith healthier this time around , lions s/b able to run the ball a little more or throw more short passes to him and get some 5+ minute drives to keep the ball away from Brees

Last yr when Saints lost to Seahawks.  Saints had no RB . Only Reggie Bush .    This yr there will be Sproles, thomas, Ivory .  Also this game will be at home.  I don't know how you can use last years game as an example ?

The Lions showed last week they can get into a passing shootout with anyone. And, in a game featuring two quarterbacks who passed for over 5,000 yards this season, this should develop into much of the same. But the Saints have won eight in a row, tied with the Patriots for the longest streak in the league. And they haven't lost at home this season.
