wildcard round the favorite in the game with the highest o/u is 12-3-1 ats since the 1995 season, su that team is 13-3 and over is 10-6.

Who is in this 80 % role = SAINTS

Another factor to consider in these shootout type matchups is turnover margin.  Lions are third in the NFL at +13, Saints at -4.

The wildcard round favorite of the game with the highest o/u is 0-2-0 ats the last two years, su that team is 0-2 and over is 1-1.

You can always find trends to support whatever you want. I'm not going to do more work on this one. This is an example of a useless trend, unless you can make a case for causation.

The line is set this high to reel in the Lions Backers and it seems many on this site has fallen for the Line.

Fade Detroit in a dome against a top team always! If you don't have balance on offense against the top teams you get exposed..This will be Detroit playing catchup and Stafford making mistakes. Saints will win by more then 14 this time...

If you like Detroit why not wait until later in the week when you likely get more points?  Are you sure you know what you are doing?

I havent pulled the trigger yet..I will let this line continue to climb..I would love to get 13 by gametime but 11-12 is great..I love the guys comming in stating that Detriot lost to Gb backups..Thats what I said in the 1st statement in my prediction..Public Loves the Saints and perception of the Lions is they are very weak..Love it ..I am starting to like the Lions on the Ml +500 as well!

Quinten do you know how many playoff teams the Lions beat this season??? 1 and do you know who that playoff team was??? the fuckin BRONCOS if you even wanna call them a playoff team! 5 of their 6 losses came to playoff teams so like i said before good luck because your gonna need it. the Lions have no playoff experience and the Saints have a ton.

not to mention this is back to back road games for the lions and the saints havent had to travel in a month. and one last thing thing jim schwartz is a moron.

1. You're not wagering 9k, so don't lose credibility so quickly.  If you are wagering 9k, you have issues, unless you're a millionaire.

2. This game will be a classic shootout, with two high powered offenses playing in their natural environment, the dome.

Personally, I would be more comfortable teasing the Lions to +17/18 as I see this being a close game, last thing I want to see is a 6pt Saints lead go to 13 off a TD INT.

Det will be ready this weekend, but again I would tease the Lions with *unknown* as I haven't capped the other games, but Pitt u or Pitt look decent, don't know how Den will score more than 10pts.

Lions had the toughest strength of schedule of any playoff team .....

By the way I tweeted Dave Birkett from the Detroit Free Press asking about Delmas.  He said Schwartz was very positive about everyone being in play for the playoffs .... said Delmas had a solid practice before GB game and could have played if he had to.

Not a smart thing to do by looking at LAST season.

Saints had starter injuries across the board and down to their 4th running back once Bush went out.  Also no Darren Sproles last year.

Completely different situation this year.  Look at THIS matchup and THIS YEAR'S circumstances if you wanna be smart and win some $$.

Stats can be deceiving.  Pass defense is ranked by yards, which mostly came in garbage time with the Saints up by 20+ points (Eli Manning & Matt Ryan for ex.).

If a healthy Detroit D couldn't handle Matt Flynn with no Gregg Jennings, why will they do so much better against the possible Co-MVP and a QB that had torched them once already?

That +10 is a sucker's bet.

MAck couldnt have said it any better..........total non sence compare this match to last yr, last yr Saints limp into playoffs with no RB SEA was the hotter team, im not on NO this game, im actually thinkn of DET having a back door being down 10-17 pts whole game, to see NO lossing doesnt make sence at all.

The only better qb they've faced than Stafford is Rodgers and they lost.  Stafford  was still overcoming his broken finger when they played and his game is at a completely new level right now.  On top of Suh, Houston and Delmas not playing on the defensive side that game.  

The saints will need to score 45 plus at a minimum to cover this spread.

not just that, that seattle team last year was a run first / short pass / no offense / ball control team.

detroit is built for shoot-outs and no one will out shoot brees. i do have to say the 10.5 or 11 pts is tempting but...there has to be a better bet than against the hottest qb/offense in the nfl right now

Quinton this is the point you are simply not getting. Good football teams don't lose must win games against their biggest rivals playing backups! This is the point that is just not registering with you.

If they win they have a legitimate shot at beating the Giants and then who knows. They haven't beaten (or covered the spread) against the elite teams in the NFC. Green Bay, San Francisco, New Orleans. They couldn't get it done last week when they badly needed to and know you expect a time who hasn't shown any kind of winning mentality against the top teams to suddenly turn it on!

The public preception that Detroit is not a very good team is spot on and I am quite sure will cost you 10k. There is no hidden agenda or secret here. Even if Detroit covers, New Orleans was the correct play pre game based on Factual Evidence...

1) New Orleans has covered the spread in every home game this season..
2) Detroit has failed to cover the spread against the better teams....

To bet against New Orleans (even if you are lucky enough to get a back door cover) is the incorrect play and your reasons for playing it are either invalid of incorrect...

  How exactly do the Lions match up well with them?  They played earlier in year and Saints kicked their ass from pillar to post.  Saints have covered every game at home.  Makes little or no sense to bet into that.
