This may be a dumb statment but the oddsmakers know Dallas is a public team especially in this situation and may have inflated the line because they want more Arizona action. This would lead me to believe that they like Dallas in this spot...no? Just curious what you think about it. Thanks and GL

Dallas at home plays considerably worse that they do on the road. They did not cover the spread against Philly or Cinccy and lost SU to Wash. Granted they played much tougher opponents, they were at home.
Arizona is the complete opposite and play better at home.

I agree with this statement. Warner has more experience, can read defenses better and has laser accuracy.
Warner on the Cowboys last year, they dont lose in the playoffs. Given the weakness on the Cards it is amazing that Kurt is number one in the NFC rating wise, number two yardage wise, number two TD wise (Romo has one more) with many more sacks than the others in the top 5 and a terrible running game.

The thing is warner might actually fit on the boys because they have one of the best o lines in the league. if you give my uncle dedrick of 87years old the time he'll complete the throws also.

I am a cards fan (yes it has been a tough life). Everyone knows about Dallas, but lets look into the cards with a bit more depth...
Cards were 8-8 last year losing many close winnable games. If they would have just taken care of business against SF last year, they make the playoffs and win their division.
The cards O-line is the best they have had in many years there. Pass protection has been very good for the most part. Although you cannot tell by the numbers, the run game is much improved. Edge and co. used to get hit behind the line of scrimmage before they had a chance to make a cut. This year the rb's are getting to the 2nd level with much more consistancy. Edge and hightower do not have breakaway speed which is why the ypc is a bit down. However they did grind it out at SF in game one.
The cards have one of the best passing offenses in the league and did last year as well. Warner gets in trouble for two reasons: either he is pressured, or he has too much time to pass. After 5-6 seconds warner tries to thread the needle too much and needs to throw it away. Warner can be 60 in a wheelchair and still throw the ball 50 yards on point. Dallas' defense has been shaky the past couple of weeks. They have have hardly blitzed and are not changing up their defense, mostly just playing man and trying to keep everything in front of them. If this continues, warner will carve em up.
The cards have beaten themselves this year. Penalties continue to be a problem just like last year, but they play much better at home. They could very easily be undefeated too.
Against the skins, they were up by 3 in the fourth quarter, and warner had a ball bounce of the defenders helmet and turned into an interception. If breaston catches that ball, that possession could have ended in a td and a cards W.
Against the Jets, the cards should have had 10-14 points off their first 2 possessions. A bad fumble and sac by warner, followed by a boldin catch and fumble took points off the board. The next series rackers misses the fg. Warner is going to have a couple bad games during the season fumbling the ball. It is the good and bad with him. If warner didnt keep turning the ball over and giving the Jets great field position, they might not have lost. Jets could NOT stop AZ in the 2nd half. If the cards get the 2nd onside kick, they would have only been down 1 score and the entire game changes at that point. The cards D was pretty bad that game, but short field position will do that to you. They were also not on the same page.
Someone mentioned that this will be practically a home game for Dallas. The cards did not sell any single game tix to this game. You had to buy an additional home game in order to buy the Dallas game to help offset the usually large Dallas crowd there.
Romo who usually kills in the beginning of the season has been a little shaky and does not always play good in big games (see playoffs). This will have a playoff feel to it Sunday. You never know which TO is going to show up. Jerry Jones is on the field and nobody has confidence in Wade (soon to be fired after the season) Phillips. Dallas' offensive playcalling has been inconsistant lately as well. This is the biggest rivalry for AZ, but not for Dallas.
All in all the game could go either way, but I do not think Dallas will cover in AZ. Plus you know the public will be pounding Dallas as most people do not know that AZ is not the same team as years past. I will wait for it to get up to 7 and then pound the side and ML.. pats have trouble with SD's 3-4 and they should have lost in the AFC championship game last year at home
of course a lot of this is predicated on a healthy LT
maybe they would have lost that game had LT not kept his nuts in a ski suit on the sidelines.. but, as it were, the AFC title game was not as close as the score indicated. that being said, i love SD in this one.. lay the points
